"Incredibly Terrible Service"
Terrible service! Brought a monitor stand in walnut but was sent a maple color instead from some place in Ohio. Add’l the stand had missing footing on one side so they issued a RMA WHICH COST ME $35 to return. Took more than two months and they would not even acknowledge receiving the item. Numerous emails and no response so I looked up the founder/owner on the Net and finally got a refund after almost 3 months! I can’t say how disappointed I was with this Company after having brought several desk items previously.

Grovemade: a profit-driven company where customer satisfaction doesn't exist. They do not answer and the price is too high for the quality. They are just really good at Photoshop. Don't buy there, I suggest Oakywood or Balolo instead.

"Grovemade customer service hates you…"
Grovemade customer service hates you but you only learn that once things don't ship when they say they will and you inquire. then you get a sassy email telling you it will take 5-7 days to respond and please don't email them twice about the same thing. There is no one to call. The first item I ordered came in a timely fashion so I stupidly expected that to continue to be true and ordered more. When I ordered two items separately they said they would both ship several days ago and that I would have them sometime between a few days ago through two days from now. Since one of them now says "In production" despite it not saying that when I ordered it, I doubt I will get it anytime soon. The other was supposedly in stock also when I ordered it and would ship within a few days, but now a few days from the end of their window for me to get it, it still says in stock and shipping soon. The stuff costs too much for them to treat you this badly. Also my package came from the east coast despite them saying they are a Portland company.

"Products good, customer service response time intermittent"
Ordered two desk shelves and happy with end outcome. The journey wasn't great and Grovemade are clearly having trouble with their communications to their customers. But I'm revising my review as the products are good and their intent is clearly good - so in my opinion trustworthy. I really hope they improve their customer response times as this is really letting them down

"2 months to deliver, incorrect import duty"
Their website said my items would ship on Aug 14th when I placed my order on Aug 9th.
When that date elapsed, I emailed Grovemade and they said they'd ship on Aug 25th.
When Aug 25th elapsed, they replied with a scripted email saying my items were on the way to their fulfillment centre.
Yesterday, Sept 4th, I emailed them again and got the same scripted fullfillment centre email as before.
I have no idea what's going on.
UPDATES:
Sept 12th -- Refunded my shipping costs and said they'd ship by Sept 22nd, at the latest.
Sept 30th -- Still no dispatch email and haven't replied to my last email sent on Sept 22nd.
Oct 6th — My order finally arrived today. Never got a shipment dispatch email from Grovemade. Last week, I received a letter asking me to pay £115 in import VAT for a shipment from the USA. Considering that the value of my Grovemade order was only £130 and no dispatch email, I assumed it couldn’t be Grovemade. To check this, I emailed Grovemade but I got no reply. I decided to take the gamble by paying the Import VAT invoice and see what arrived. Low and behold, it was my Grovemade order but with the Customs Declaration incorrectly filled out overstating the shipment value by 5x. The Import VAT should have been £0 since the order value was below the £135 threshold, so now I have to submit a BOR286 form to reclaim the VAT overpayment.

"As others have said, appalling customer service"
As others have said, the customer service is pretty much non-existent. I get the same stock answer every time I ask them why my order has being saying “In stock - ready to ship” for weeks. I had a separate mail out about a fulfilment centre change. Seems like they have made a hash of the switch over. No ability to cancel my order via the website as it tells me my order has now been fulfilled. Great.
They are good at the marketing and I can attest that the products I’ve bought previously were as described but the experience as a customer in 2023 is absolutely archaic.
