Terrible company! Horrible customer service. They make up rules as they go.

I just want to say this was the best experience I ever had in my life I am happy that I went and I will remember this trip for a long time and our tour guide was amazing and taught me a lot of things I never new about.

I want to start by saying our guide, Sylvia, was great!
The local guides were great.

Several other things were, however were disappointing.
It began with the flight schedules. Our 7 day tour was cut short due to poor scheduling. Our beginning flight didn't depart until 8pm. We missed our connection in London, even though we told Explorica that we would never make the 70 minute connection.
After finding another flight, we finally arrived in Florence very early on day 5. The remaining 5 days were very very rushed. There was NEVER any free time and we were only allowed 10 minutes in St. Peter's Basilica. Very disappointing.
The bus driver smoked while on the bus.
The breakfast at the hotel in Rome was really bad with very little food.

Our group went to Paris and various cities in Italy. Our tour guides were knowledgeable, pleasant, and very helpful.

So I booked my spot on this trip over a year before the trip, being an alumni and not a student, I knew I wanted to be in my own room, and I signed up for a single, my trip leader knew I signed up and wanted a single, but fast forward and I was forced to pay out of pocket in Costa Rica for a single room and they refused to refund me for those out of pocket costs. On top of that, they booked us flights that made one of the extra excursions we had signed up for physically impossible to attend without missing the plane.

I understand covid made things difficult, but it is no excuse for THESE problems.

We certainly enjoyed the trip with Explorica! Working with Pam Smith is always a joy. The guides were superb, the sights were amazing and the entire trip was just a real pleasure. Explorica does a great job making traveling worry free. Can't wait for the next trip.
