"Not what it used to be...."
I used Fabletics in the US and UK years ago, and their products were fabulous. All are still going strong up to 10 years later, and the best leggings I've come across. I was thinking about buying more, so I recently signed up for their VIP programme (after a break of about 6 years). And it's just NOT what it used to be. A few problems:
- Their VIP system is, honestly, just a bit stupid. This didn't used to bother me in the past for some reason, but it's just unnecessary life admin where you have a 5-day window to skip the month. But if you're on holiday or just busy, you get charged £55 when you may not care about buying something anytime soon.
- This VIP system becomes particularly infuriating when they have a sale on, and the product you want is on sale for £25 or 1 VIP credit (which you spent £55 to get!!!!). So you can shell out more cash to them or not get any sale benefits. It just doesn't make any sense. If you want to have a subscription-based service, do only that where all your products can only be paid for in VIP credits.
- The most infuriating thing that I've come across in the past few months is that they NEVER have ANYTHING that I want in stock in my size. Never. I have several patterned and very cute leggings that I bought from them years ago, but if they do have any cute patterns, they are ALWAYS out of stock.
- Along with the previous point, their site can be TERRIBLE. Even if you filter based on your size, they still show you products where they don't actually have the size in stock. I have spent HOURS scrolling through their products only to realise that EVERY SINGLE product that I want (which they are showing me on the search page) is not actually available despite me setting filter settings as narrow as I can.
- Lastly, the few items that I have ordered (that I have settled for because they didn't have what I ACTUALLY wanted, but I have VIP credits to spend) don't seem to be as high of quality as their old stuff. None of my old leggings from them show any cellulite, but I've ordered (and returned) a couple pairs recently that do - one was even their highest compression. I also used to like the look of many of their tops, but don't care for any now.
Overall, I've found the recent experience awful and not good value for money. The added life admin that they try to thrust on you is shameful... If they actually cared about you getting what you wanted out of it, you would be able to sign in on the 31st of the month to skip the upcoming payment... But they only give you the very narrow window of 1st - 5th. They just want your money desite not having anything that you would actually want in stock. This is the perfect example of one of the subscriptions that hope you'll just forget about so that they get your money without you realising it.

"BEST GYM WEAR IN THE GAME "
I've been with Fabletics for the past 8 years. Their stuff is of amazing quality. I would not change it to another sportswear brand. I recently had one of my leggings sutures fall off. I emailed them for support and they have sent me another pair.

"They make cancelling your account very…"
They make cancelling your account very hard which is a predatory move and should be looked into by the authorities.
You have to either call or online chat (a new thing they've brought after many years of only allowing calls) to cancel, there is no way to cancel with just a button which is the standard for online experiences today.
Once you are with an agent they ask you at least three times, offering different promotions each time to get you to stay.
When I told the agent the reason for my cancellation (which is that I keep forgetting to skip, costing me a £54 subscription fee each month) I was told since I skipped before I'm clearly aware of their policy and they make it so easy by sending me a reminder.. well how about you don't design something where I have to manually skip for not purchasing clothes? I don't have a mandatory subscription to H&M just so I can buy their clothes once in a blue moon do I? This is what they said:
"It is very sad to hear that you want to cancel your VIP membership; however, you are not required to make a purchase or be charged monthly since we have the skipping option available on the 1st 5 days of the month which I can see here that you have been doing for a while now.
I can see that you are aware of the skipping on the 1st 5 days of the month. We do send an email reminder on the 4th day of the month. We also suggest that you set an alarm on your phone on top of the email reminder, so that you will be reminded to skip each month."
After telling them 3 times in one conversation that I wanted to cancel, and these sales tactics I was finally allowed to cancel. Honestly just go to Primark or save up money if you want cheap gym clothes, this kind of stress is not worth it for the quality of stuff you get from them.
I'd seriously consider reporting them, but I don't want to give any more time to this company more than they have already stolen from my life.
