I purchased the 8 PC. Seido knife set and I am extremely happy with my new knives. The sharpness and quality are second to none. I really like the 7" Nakiri as well as the 7" Santoku knives. You will not regret purchasing these knives.

"These knives rust way too easily"

These knives rust way too easily. You have to towel dry them instantly after they get washed or they rust right away. Also, the handles loose their shiny look and now look dried out and old. I’ve had this set for two months. I’ve made several attempts to contact customer service and have gotten no response. Do not buy these knives.

these are not high quality knives. The higher the quality stainless steel, the less likely it is to rust. i have a high quality stainless steel knife. i’ve had it forever and no rust. After having Seido knives for less than 2 months they are getting rust spots. If you make sure to dry them well after washing then it won’t do that, but that’s something you wouldn’t have to worry about with an actual high quality knife. Also they look layered like a damascus steel but that pattern is just printed on the knife. It’s not an actual Damascus Steel. It says so in the description of you scroll to bottom of page but they certainly don’t make it obvious. Also these knives do not stay sharp long. After 2 uses of one knife it lost its sharp edge. The only reason these knives have good reviews is because they look cool and people are leaving reviews before using them often enough. Poor quality. Literally no better than the Walmart brand of knives. I’m not exaggerating. Save your money and go with a better brand. Also!!! the shipping took WAY longer than they said. Poor company

I'm so glad I discovered this brand. Their knives are amazing! Razor sharp, aesthetically beautiful and fun to use too. Whenever people come over, they always call ask me where I got my knives! Delivery was fast and customer service was friendly when asking product questions. A wonderful experience throughout - I highly recommend them!

"Do not buy anything from this company"

Do not buy anything from this company. They say that items will be delivered in 3-5 business days and then ship from China. 6 weeks to get the knife. Missed Christmas and then promised to send a sharpener for compensation. It never came. Do not believe anything this company says or advertises.

"More Seido Knives Lies and Scams"

Reading through the recent reviews, it seems my situation is identical to others here. I ordered the knife set on January 9th, where the company claimed that they would be shipping out of Quebec, Canada, (I'm in Canada) and I could expect shipment in 2-5 days. It's now Feb 5th, so I am at 28 days and counting, and still haven't received anything.

Whenever I try to contact the "company " I get an auto generated email response with a link to the shipper. When I try calling their toll free number nothing but an automated message and never a call back.

The website also claimed that the prices were in my currency, however, once I made the purchase, it was actually in US $, and I paid a hefty exchange.

I checked the shipping status again today, it was shipped out of the Netherlands, and my knives are apparently in Toronto, waiting to "clear customs." Apparently I am on the hook for duties as well, as that is part of their selling agreement, despite the fact that they claimed it would be shipped out of their Canadian warehouse.

I requested my money back for the item, and as others' have stated, their response was that if it hasn't been delivered, I cannot return it. I have no illusions that I will ever see any of the 275$ that I spent.

I have lodged a complaint with the Canadian Anti fraud commission of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and they're investigating. I have also submitted a claim with my bank, and they are working on getting my funds returned as well.

So, if anyone is reading this prior to making the purchase, STEER CLEAR, they are a complete scam.
