Terrible company. Avoid at all costs!

It was virtually impossible to get them to give us a date for delivery in France. I had to email them several times to be given an approximate week that our items would be delivered and then was told the day before they would be arriving tomorrow which meant we had to reorganise work with a new job at a moments notice.

When we were given the week of delivery they then advised us that we would need to pay an additional £200 because our things would need to be delivered in a smaller van as they wouldn't be able to fit a large lorry in the parking we had provided (the address for delivery had been given to them before we had signed our contract and the parking in question was approximately 100m x 20m so even if they had the largest lorry possible if they were unable to fit here then they surely can't fit anywhere!) Eventually they managed to miraculously find a solution upon our refusal to pay.

Then upon delivery we were not surprised given how unprofessional the company had been so far to find that some of our items were damaged. We attempted to make a claim on the insurance the moving partnership had arranged for us to find that this would not be accepted on the grounds that the items were 'owner packed.' We had brought this up with the company before signing the contract and they had assured us that as long as the delivery drivers were able to see the item then we would 100% be covered for loss and damage to that item. The delivery drivers also re-confirmed this on collection.

Overall an awful experience with a dishonest, unprofessional company.

Thank you for doing a great job helping my move from Germany back to the UK. The moving staff and driver were extremely helpful, responsive and well organized. It helped alleviate the stress of relocating!

Broken things and no refund.
I used the Moving Partnership to move 5 boxes from Barcelona to London. They only delivered 4 boxes, and gave me no news on the fifth, which contained my computer, amongst other things. After complaining with them I received a response that an item in the box had broken, and it needed to be repackaged. When the box arrived it was full of shards of glass from my lamp, the computer inside it was smashed and the screen was no longer working, and one of my paintings was punctured. After complaining and waiting for months, I finally got the response that I would not be refunded for the damage that they caused. As a young professional I now have no way to buy a new computer, and the moving partnership is to blame. They shifted the blame on the delivery company, yet my contract was with them. Disgusting service and would completely not recommend to anyone.

We had a difficult move to organise- selling a house in the UK moving to France with unclear completion dates.
Our contents were collected and safely stored. Our contract was such that we wouldn’t know the exact date of completion, but once we found out, Joe Walker and his team endeavoured to deliver our furniture almost to the date (our vendors were understanding and let us move the furniture in a day earlier prior to completing) as you can imagine all a little stressful. All the furniture is in good order and a valuable painting safely crated.
All of the removal team members were exceptionally efficient, friendly and professional.
Finally we would like to say a huge thank you and would recommend this service.

I would not hesitate in recommending Moving Partnership who have moved me on more than one occasion making the whole experience totally pain free.

"Nice people, lousy service..."

I used the moving partnership for two moves back in 2015. Really nice people on the phone and pleasant to speak to but when it came to the actual move that wasn't so good. I was told I'd get blankets to protect my furniture, I got nothing. Items arrived scratched and broken and some even got lost! When I called to ask for help they were useless. The problem is they are basically an agency and they work with other movers so they don't really have control over the move. The movers that came were old and unfit meaning I had to help load things and I was nine months pregnant at the time. This also caused problems when they had to bring my furniture into my new flat as the two guys were clearly not used exercise and resulted in a lot of huffing and puffing and "kin ell, kin ell" as things were moved up and down the stairs. There was more stuff than they were able to take so I got a kerbside delivery for the second lot, the delivery drivers were rude to my family and then they lost my items in a warehouse. Moving Partnership did sweet FA and it was between myself and another young lady that we located the items and it was solved. I wouldn't use them again, pay a little extra and get a better service I say. They don't care about your stuff but that's because as I said they don't really move it so they can afford to be nice on the phone because if anything goes wrong there's no blow back for them.

The things I loaded onto the Moving Partnership's lorry arrived mostly in good order where they needed to be.

However:
- I was not made aware of the very short window to load things onto the lorry, and had to deal with a very stressed out driver who had to get onto his job
- It was unclear to the driver how much space I had bought
- Two of my items were damaged in transit, and the insurance provided did not cover it

I would like to echo other reviews on here that Wayne at the moving partnership was terrific in terms of quick and understand customer service.

Straight forward and efficient move, from the initial telephone discussion, the on-line video survey of goods to be moved, the pick up in the UK, and the final move to France. We were kept up to date by Joe and the team at every stage of the move, and both the collection and delivery were bang on time. The movers were tidy, courteous, and did everything possible to make the whole process as painless as possible. We would have no hesitation in using the services of the The Moving Partnership again, and can definitely recommend this company.

The staff are very friendly and knowledgable. I moved to the US and had a bunch of music equipment including a vintage guitar and I was impressed how well everything was wrapped. Their partner in the US was the same, helpful and courtious and the delivery drivers were great. Highly recommended!
