The customer service and delivery times were second to none.

"Appalling Customer Service - Zero Rug...."
Spent just under £500 on a rug which has significant delivery issues.
Contacted Modern Rugs for support. Absolute joke.
They refused to offer a window of delivery, refused to contact the delivery driver stating that they did not carry phones. Instead customer service suggested leaving a post it note on the door.
Refund requested, was advised that refund was not possible unless the delivery was refused.
Useful considering that the lack of delivery is the issue.
Refused to recall the delivery in order to deliver the refund.
Customer service could not be more disinterested.
The only thing more impressive than their lack of interest appears to be Modern Rugs skill at retaining customer money while at the same time delivering absolutely nothing.

Great rug for my daughters bedroom. Delivery was quick and I was kept in the loop at all stages from purchase to delivery.

rug arrived damaged due to bad packaging the rug had a kink in the end of it.emailed, rang and contacted via Instagram but heard no response so I opened a dispute on PayPal and was rudely told they would only deal with me on there. I was told I need to iron it which I have never needed to do for any rugs purchased before or pay £16 to return a faulty rug.
I purchased this rug due to seeing one of my favourite Instagram accounts having purchased the rug it looks nothing like the photos she has posted and you would find a better quality rug in b&m for half the cost. will never buy from this company again

I bought a rug and it arrived
I opened it, tried it in the room and didn’t like it so sent it back. Instead of a refund I get an email saying we cannot refund you as the rug is dirty. I sent it exactly how I recieved it. Anyway I accepted they were not going to refund as don’t have the time to argue this so asked them to send it back as they kept my money. Was supposed to arrive Friday. Did not arrive. They told me they forgot to load it on the van. Then they said today. It has not arrived
So they have taken my money and the rug

"A lot of wasted time, petrol and frustration..."
Rug ordered and arrived in good time. However, decided the rug wasn't what we wanted so decided to return it personally. Arrived to return rug only to find factory was closed even though the website indicated it was open and the answer machine said they were busy with customers, even when I was outside the closed factory. Finally after many calls got confirmation the factory was open and returned rug. Price of rug was refunded but then had several phone calls to get the refund for the underfloor anti-slip matting. A lot of wasted time, petrol and frustration to complete what should have been a straight forward return.

"Terrible experience!..."
Terrible experience! I ordered a rug which came with free standard delivery. 2 weeks later i had no communication about when it would be arriving, so i rang customer services and they said it was in the warehouse and should be with me in 3 days. 4 weeks passed and still no emails about delivery and no rug. Rang customer services numerous times and no answer. After sending emails to them, finally got a poorly written reply which said the rug was now out of stock and could i wait until it came back into stock. I emailed back and said yes i can wait. A few days later they emailed saying they are going to issue a refund instead. Waste of time! Dreadful communication and customer service! Are they even a real company? Doesn’t seem so. Would NOT buy from them again.

Absolutely shocking. I purchased a rug for £83 in the January sales that was supposed to be £130. Arrived today after waiting 10 days, paper thin & not what was advertised. Never again.

"Excellent service..."
The service from modern rugs uk was excellent. We ordered an Orla Kiely rug which was out of stock at the time of ordering but was delivered quickly once back in stock. The rug was lovely but unfortunately did not go with our decor as we had hoped. The returns process was easy and I am looking forward to choosing another rug when I return from my holidays . Highly recommended.
