"Scammers "

They are scam. I told them 2 days before my flight canceled due to Heathrow airport incident and I had two days booking. They did not even return 1£ back and I lost 270£ with them. They did not even care and say it’s not refundable at all. I don’t recommend anyone to go with this kind of company.

"BE WARNED !!"

BE WARNED !!! If you need to contact them by SMS then you will be charged as you are contacting them in the USA.
We recently stayed in the Charles Hope Plymouth and had the following issues - which meant I had to contact them many times.

We were originally told that we would in numbers 5 and 6. Then I had 2 emails, saying we would be in number 8 (different emails)
So, I contacted the team via text and then had a text back, to say that due to a maintenance issue we would be in 5 and 8. No problem at all!!

When we checked in one couple went to apartment 8 and one went to apartment 5 – When my Brother entered apartment 5 he was greeted with the sofa bed out and dirty towels in the bedroom wardrobe.
We contacted the team again and then I had a call from (I believe from Lamees) saying that an error had been made and it should have been apartment number 6. Again not a problem but a bit of an inconvenience.

Then in the morning, apartment number 8 was very cold with no hot water – We took a look at the thermostat, which said 15.6 degrees. We pressed the button and the flame icon came on but nothing. We then found the boiler in a cupboard and saw that there was no power to the boiler.
I contacted the team to advise of the problem who sent me a link on how to operate the hot water in the apartment. The link didn’t work, as it didn’t respond to being tapped!
My husband then found the fuse panel in a different cupboard and noticed the switch to the boiler had tripped, so flicked the switch up and the boiler came on.
It wasn’t acceptable as we were making an early start and didn’t have hot water to shower. I had the first shower and it only got to a tepid temperature. The temperature display on the thermostat just as we left read 16.9 degrees.

Although, both apartments looked great, neither couple had a great experience and felt we didn’t get what we paid for.
I was going to wait before I wrote this review, but after being charged for SMS's and phone calls I had to warn others!!!!

"Terrible admin, excellent accommodation"

We stayed in Manchester. The administration was appalling but the accommodation was excellent. We didn’t receive the pre-registration email or text because it was apparently sent to the wrong address - we have no idea why. Because of this it took half an hour of increasing stress to actually get the key to our room out of the locker. When we did get it, it had no room number on, so we had to phone again to find this out.

The accommodation was first rate - but it would have been useful to have instructions for the equipment: we couldn't get the coffee machine to work and the timer on the oven was impenetrable.

Room for improvement.

"Hello "

Hello

We booked the Charles hope Southampton centre on the 22nd November 2024
And found when we arrived the apartment was unsecure the balcony door had been forced
We had planned xmas shopping and was not prepared to leave and goods in an unsecured apartment
We contacted Charles hope who could do nothing about the situation and didn’t even bother to
Call me back when requested, we moved out and informed them we wanted our money back
Charles hope has admitted that the apartment was unsecured but refuse to give any refund
I booked this accommodation through booking .com I request full reimbursement however they are also not responding extremely poor service

"Horendous!!"

Horendous!!! I booked a place in Greenford and it was the worst experience I've had! They didn't eve have Wi-Fi at the place when the listing on AirBnb said Wi-Fi is included. Then they told me that Parking is extra and I paid £15 for it being told that it lasts for 24 hrs, but then I got a parking charge because they said my checkout was at 11am when I paid £60 extra for an extended checkout. They just kept taking money from me. Please don't book here because there's no Wi-Fi, they'll cheat you for the parking and they won't reply back if you ask them why.

"Nice clean but very hot apartment"

Nice clean apartment, once we finally got it.
Directions and instructions were useless and lots of guess work.
There was no water until we searched the fuse box cupboard and happened to find the stopcock button hidden behind the washing machine.
There is no air-con, and the apartment is currently 28c, with windows which open about 7cm.
Ridiculous 25 floors up in a heatwave with floor to ceiling windows.
Fixtures and fittings are style over substance.
For the price, I’m getting a hotel next time.

"A one-sided deal"

We never got to a Charles Hope Apartments Trading Ltd flat, but we did book on airbnb for one. Then we were asked for full ID which was OTT given airbnb checks all guests and that we have excellent reviews for previous airbnb stays. I did supply ID but then asked for full details of whom I was dealing with including any agents - is it not reasonable to know this when Charles Hope Apartments Trading Ltd has my ID? And asked for confirmation our ID would be deleted from their systems after our stay. I never got a reply as I assume the agents didn't know how to deal with it, or maybe they didn't want to? And then I read the Trustpilot reviews and also realised that 'our' flat was still advertised for 'our' dates, which means there are several similar in the building and it is unlikely the photos of a pristine flat were of our booking. So I cancelled.
Postscript: found an excellent place to stay in Plymouth on Airbnb - 'Zaneta's Place'. I recommend it and to avoid Charles Hope whoever he/she/they/it is or are.
