"I bought a tin of Ronseal"10 year"
I bought a tin of Ronseal"10 year, performance guarantee weatherproof wood paint" recently and I am very disappointed. I am not a professional but have done enough painting to be able to gauge a good enough paint and this one is awful. 10 year guarantee! I could be coating with this paint on the same door for 10 years and still do not have confidence it will do the job. I don't know if it's a ploy so people buy more of their paint to do the job but it certainly works the other way with me as I "WILL NOT" be purchasing anything Ronseal again at this rate. I was saying to my wife about the fence paint is probably still good but after reading the reviews about that on here I will be giving that a wide berth also.

"ronseal ultimate decking stain"
ronseal ultimate decking stain. Complained about this product last year because it was so awful. after much to and fro (how did i prepare decking how did i paint decking replied i have been painting my decking for 20 plus years) they sent me vouchers for the same product!! so maybe it was a bad batch so try again. if possible its even worse this year big lumps of clay like substance suspended in a watery solution. my paint stirrer was useless and i don't have the machine that b and q use to mix paint. so i chucked it out and used my £6 johnson and spear decking stain which went on like a dream

"I wish i had read the reviews before i…RUBBISH PRODUCT"
I wish i had read the reviews before i bought this RUBBISH, absolute piss take saying this is 1 coat. Consistency of water and this will take a minimum of 3 coats or more to do the job. I will not buy any other Ronseal products in future after this.

"Tin leaked during delivery"
I received the item on the sunniest day of the year so far and decided to apply it straight away. However, on opening the packaging I discovered the tin had been leaking despite the lid being taped down. There was solution all over the handle, the tin and the inside of the bag. Looks like another wait for a new delivery and a sunny day. Ronseal - leaks from the tin.

"Ronseal fence + paint "
I bought some Ronseal fence + paint and it’s awful! My fence has taken 3 coats and it’s still patchy so I’m sadly going to have to buy another tin ( or tins ) of paint on top of the 10 litres I’ve already purchased. I was expecting 2 coats as some of my fencing was freshly cut bare wood, but 3-4 is an horrendous amount of work. I went with ronseal as I used some of their products to paint fencing with about 5/6 years ago and it was fantastic.

"Have used Ronseal Decking paint…"
Have used Ronseal Decking paint (Willow) for the last 5 years or so on Decking, Shed, Summerhouse etc due to how well it covered irrespective of the condition of the wood. It only ever needed one coat and one pot would go a long way !
However, have recently bought 3 tins of the supposed same product from 3 different suppliers and all of them have been useless, the paint is little thicker than water and does not even cover previously painted surfaces and has no effect at all on bare wood. I have tried all manner of stirring and mixing methods in an attempt to thicken the paint with no success at all. Initially I assumed I had purchased a faulty tin hence buying 2 more from different sources, but the paint quality from each of 3 tins were equally inadequate and unusable. These tins are not cheap but I don't mind paying a premium for a good product .. this one used to be, but unfortunately most certainly isn't anymore !

"Ronseal Decking Stain - Peeled in less than 6 Weeks"
Had new decking laid last October and finalised in December. My Chippy Used Ronseal Decking Stain as per instructions including outside temperature and spent 2 days giving it 3 coats.
In less than 6 weeks the Ronseal Stain has peeled ??? contacted Ronseal, gave them all the details of the Stain, Pictures, Dates etc and have since heard nothing despite 3 original emails day 1 in response to Ronseal's 2 emails with info required, then 2 further email asking how they intend to remedy the situation both have been met with a resounding Silence.
I can see a MCOL being submitted for the costs of the original work and further claims to rectify the issues if Ronseal has not even got the courtesy to respond

"Diamond Ronseal Diamond Hard Floor"
I have had the same issue with Ronseal Diamond Floor as others have had. Spent lots of money sanding the floor. Applied three coats of Ronseal Hard Floor as per instructions (including drying time etc) and 6 months later the varnish is significantly coming off. Expensive product that is useless and that will now cost extra money to remove. Before Ronseal customer services reach out with comments to resolve I have tried this and was constantly ignored!!! Useless product but equally useless and unreliable company. Avoid at all costs!!

"Does not do what it says on the tin. (Ronseal )"
Bought £20 tin of Ronseal metal paint to paint
Outside table & chairs.
Did everything what the instructions said on the tin.
I can scrape my finger nail on the metal painted.
It just comes off in flakes ( not bonded to alliminium )
I contacted Ronseal over 4 weeks with numerous emails. They came up with numerous excuses but not an answer.I gave up contacting them in the end they would not admit a problem.(It does not do what it says on the tin?)

"Ronsea floorpaint dried patchy"
Ronsea floorpaint dried patchy - different shades of grey even after thorough stirring. I used it on timberfloorboards and on some mdf steps - equally patchy results. In the end I bought some floorpaint from B&Q and got a much better even result. Little Greene floorpaint is also good. I will never use Ronseal again - it has cost me a lot of time and effort to correct the poor result.
