"The company seems to not exist anymore…"
The company seems to not exist anymore which is a bummer because my Rancilio Silvia just started to have issues (some kind of leaking inside) about a year after purchase and I can’t reach out to them.

"Was a little apprehensive....but"
Was a little apprehensive after seeing some of the other reviews....but went for it anyway and purchased a pavoni and grinder.
Paid a little extra for the faster delivery but this new europe import thing makes it slow anyway so not sure its worth it / what difference it makes.
Took a week from purchase to delivery, but all arrived in branded boxes and with a UK plug cover/adaptors over the euro plugs (which is fine by me).
Machines are a beautiful addition to my kitchen as i begin my journey in the art of manual lever coffee making.

"Worst company ever"
Worst company ever! He sent us a broken machine. We sent it back but he is not accepting the delivery so it’s stucking somewhere in spain and we don’t get the refund. Don’t buy there!!!

"Terrible company & rude too!"
Terrible company. Problem with a previous order of a spare part where they sent me the wrong item so I can't use it. Admittedly I ordered it in 2019, but since I had superglued the broken part and refitted it by the time the spare arrived, I decided to store it for when I eventually needed it. Now I do, and only now did I discover that Myespresso sent me the wrong part back in 2019. Bloke on the phone with South African accent is in Spain, tells me it's tough, I have to buy a new one (his price has increased 60% since summer 2019). He goes on to explain the company I bought it from has since closed down, and what he operates as "myespresso.co.uk" is a different company but just the same domaine name. It's not just the domaine name as it's written all over the website! More like he just didn't want to help. I asked him if he could do anything about the cost or shipping as a goodwill gesture and he just said no.
He was rude and condescending. No wonder there's so many 1* reviews. If 0* was possible, I'm sure there would be plenty of those too!
AVOID. No doubt they will respond rubbishing this review, but over 60% 1* reviews speaks for itself!!!

"Consider Carefully"
UPDATE
Shortly after purchase my Rocket machine started leaking. After discussing with Peter and trying his suggested troubleshooting, I decided to take my machine to a locally based dealer - I live in Edinburgh and Peter’s UK based service centre is based in the South of England. As a result, I felt more comfortable hand delivering my machine locally versus entrusting it with a courier company and potential damage in transit. I would choose this option every time.
Long story short, the water tank was cracked. Rocket agreed to replace this for free but the suggestion put to me was that my machine was considered a ‘grey import’ ie a machine close to the end of its warranty period and in effect the warranty was worthless. I CANNOT SUBSTANTIATE THIS. I had to pay my local dealer’s standard fee to service the machine (£60 +VAT). I agree with Peter’s response below, this charge is excessive. Under the circumstances I didn’t have many options. When I initially contacted Peter re reimbursement of the labour costs, he suggested the company I dealt with (the myespresso company) had folded, even though the website was still trading. Eventually Peter agreed to reimburse 50% of the labour costs, which is appreciated. Per the below, Peter suggests there is no such thing as a ‘grey import’ and Rocket are still supplying myespresso, I cannot substantiate this either, similar to the local dealer’s claim above. It is for you the consumer to decide and I am relaying my experience.
It is difficult to quantify my experience, really happy with my Rocket machine on the one hand but mindful there’s been a few hiccups along the road. I live in hope there’s no more.
Original Review:
Felt obligated to leave a review here alongside some of the horror-shows below, to give some much needed balance!
I can only comment on my own experience and not what has gone before, especially around Brexit and the treatment of VAT on orders. Nor what was / wasn’t clearly displayed on the website.
Fact check - for me it was clearly indicated VAT wasn’t included on my order and that there would be an import charge. Peter notes this is capped at €60? It is also easy to establish he is based in Spain (contact us) section.
Based on some skewed reviews below, with some trepidation I placed my order for a Rocket Mozzafiato espresso machine. Placed last Sunday night, it arrived into the UK on Friday, FedEx emailed me twice to confirm receipt and I duly had to pay £48 import charges. FYI - ALL I PAID ON TOP OF THE PRICE ADVERTISED WAS £48.
FedEx delivered the machine to me today, 7 days after initial order. Peter replied to any query I had in a timely, succinct manner.
As a result, I cannot fault the service thus far (it has only been a short space of time). Keen observers should be able to calculate the cost of my machine is an absolute steal versus the UK RRP £1,600.
Buying sundry items e.g. coffee may be expensive owing to import tax, larger ticket items (in my limited experience) much cheaper.

"Shop with this company at your peril"
Shop with this company at your peril. Pay a little more to buy from a reputable supplier so you don't have to deal with the sort of expensive fiasco I've gone through. I've learned my lesson.
Bought grinder, they did not discount border charges as promised, so I had to pay them. They did refund these quickly when I complained, and it was just after UK left EU... so - not impressed but at least they sorted that.
BUT the grinder is very clearly a damaged returned factory second, previously used and it turns out dangerously faulty. My Espresso have spent six months denying the product was missold, refuse to facilitate returning the item (to Spain), and refuse refund without it. They owe me the money and it's been a real admin nightmare. Plus I still don't have a coffee grinder.
My patience with them is long, long spent, and I'm kicking off Court proceedings to get my money back.

"The purchasing process went fine but…"
The purchasing process went fine but the after-sales service is appalling. The attitude of the person was more of a 'why are you bothering me?' than 'how can I help you?' A coffee machine that I purchased less than a year ago, and should still be under warranty, is not working and none of the reluctant advice I was given has had any impact. I was given no information about how to go further with this or how to get it fixed under warranty. Now they seem to be uncontactable. If you are buying a coffee machine I would not recommend this company.

"Hidden costs"
Yup. So they say they will charge you X. And then after you give your details they tell you about the additional £20 import fee and 20% tax....

"I’ve read the reviews and was a bit…"
I’ve read the reviews and was a bit unsure. But I have to say it clearly states you will have to pay tax on the website.
My machine in total with tax cost £440. £365 on the website.
The same machine is £600 at selfridges.
I suppose you could argue it’s easier to return if there’s a problem. But I haven’t tried the after sales service yet.
It arrived after five or six days. It got held up at stanstead customs.
So all in all a good service so far. The machine was in excellent condition in unopend la Pavoni box.
Hope this helps in your choice.🙂

"Fraud .AVOID !!!!!!!!!!!!"
This company is based in Spain not in the Uk, When you receive your order FedEx ( not their fault) Will present you with a large bill for import duties . No where on myexpresso states you are liable for these charges and customer service is Zero . Save yourself time , money and a headache just buy from a reputable uk company not a tax dodger
