"Do not buy a bike from this company"

Do not buy a bike from this company. They don’t have bad customer service. THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have been waiting for a replacement Pace 500 battery for longer then I’ve owned the bike. Glad I put off buying the second Avention 500. Canablize from stock to help your customer.

I love my Aventon Level but their support leaves a lot to be desired. I crashed my bike and smashed the display and it's mounting bracket. I have tried several times to order a new part but they do not have anyway to order the part online or by phone...

"All I can say is I’m incredibly…"

All I can say is I’m incredibly disappointed. I spent months researching bikes. My main criteria was is it portable? Does it have throttle on demand? And can I choose to use throttle only without pedaling? The Aventon Sinch Step through was advertised on their own website as all of these things and on every YouTube review I could find.

Well I received my bike yesterday. Did the assembly. Charged up the battery and headed out for my first ride. To my surprise….there was no throttle on demand. And I could not use the throttle without pedaling. If I striped pedaling the motor would cut off. It was concerning at first but I thought clearly I’ve missed something. I’ll go back home and figure it out.

Well after hours and hours of going over the bike, reading the manual front to back several times and searching endlessly through the app, I found nothing. No way to correct the problem. No way to get the bike to do what Aventon claims it will do.

I feel mislead, deceived and lied to by this company. This was an expensive purchase for me. I don’t just have 2000 to throw around. I am appalled and there is no limit to the amount of negative reviews I will be giving this company. I will shout it to anyone who will listen. It’s just not right.

"Look elsewhere - the product isn't worth the nightmare"

Like others leaving reviews here, we ordered a bike many weeks ago, and have not received it. They charged my credit card immediately and have been holding on to my money since that time. As an insult to injury, the bike shows "In Stock And Ready To Ship" on their website.

Every time I reach out to their customer service, it's a multiple day wait for a response, and every time, they share no useful information and refuse to explain why an "in stock" item has not been shipped in 2+ months. It seems they are either plainly lying to new customers about the availability of their product or withholding my order.

We all understand the current challenges that companies are facing, but no other company has treated us this way. The blatant false advertising and lack of communication with customers is just next level.

"I placed an order in August with a…"

I placed an order in August with a promised ship date of 23rd Sept , needless to say that did not happen, after contacting their customer service via text on numerous occasions I was promised that my order for two Adventure bikes would ship latest end of October, needless to say that did not happen either. After complaining and threatening to cancel my order they did ship out one Adventure bike in early November. When I check on their web site the second bike I ordered a step through Adventure s/m in Red is listed as "in stock and ready to ship" no doubt to entice new buyers to fall into the same trap as so many others and place an order. Today (Nov 18th) called them again and got the same verbatim replies as to why my order has not shipped. I told them I wanted someone to call me, according to the customer service person she put in the request for a supervisor to call me to explain why my order has not shipped after nearly 4 months. Lets see what happens I am not holding my breathe

"Retailers have stopped stocking Aventon…"

Retailers have stopped stocking Aventon bikes. Rotations in Southampton advised that even as a retailer it is impossible to reach this company. Who would invest almost $2,000 for this kind of experience as a consumer. I had ordered a bike in August with a delivery date that was fictitious. Even if there is a problem with distribution, other companies—-like GoCycle and Biria—-keep their customers advised about order status and offer customer service with a live person all the time. I cancelled my Aventon order after a month and the promised delivery date when no delivery was in sight. Yikes! Caveat emptor!!

"Do not use this company!!!"

Do not use this company!!! Really bad experience with their customer service and one product in particular, the Aventon Aventure. I ask customer service for a simple measurement and after more than a week I was directed to their website for the answer in which that measurement is not available. After more than a month of waiting for delivery(understandably so because of lack of parts,shipping and so on) I received my brand new bike yesterday. Now the problem is the battery does not turn on at all. After trying to turn on for more than half a day I just gave up and sent a warranty claim for a 2k bike. Lets see how long it takes to address this issue….

"Terrible"

Terrible. You can't reach anyone. They do not respond to emails. I have waited 2 months on my order to ship,( a basket and some fenders) and no one has anything to say. I'm going to file a complaint for fraud with the FTC and seek legal action if the credit card company won't refund my money.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE, YOU WILL GET NOTHING.

"Absolutly no one to talk to!!"

I received my Level bike very quickly and it was pretty simple to assemble. However, there was an issue with the controls which prevented the motor from turning on.
There is no one to talk at Aventon. They spin that as for our benefit that they'll respond to an email within 73 to 90 hours!! Insane. And if they misunderstood my question? Well, send an email and wait another week!
After a friend fixed the control issue, the bike was marvelous!
Then, 3 days later, something happened to the battery and the motor doesn't work again.
I will ship the bike back and contest the charge on my credit card if Aventon dreams of charging a 50% restocking fee.
What a poorly run company!

"Customer Service issues are preventing…"

Customer Service issues are preventing me from riding my bike. I received confirmation that they had received my email regarding the on/off, speed and display controller being defective on 5/16/21 and 9:24 AM. Almost a week later and I still haven't gotten a response. My bike is beautiful and I love it, I simply want it to work.
Update: Thankfully I was contacted via email at 11:32 PM last night, 5/23. A new part is apparently going to be shipped to me. I’m waiting for confirmation and hoping to change this to a 5 star review in the end.
