"Avoid all their software"
Avoid all their software (Zoolz Cloud Backup, Genie Timeline and others), they sell you licences for life and after not even two years they close them without refunding you. Keep the money to buy yourself a good external disk for backups. They are professional scammers.

"Lifetime Fraud under a new name"
I want to know why my lifetime backup with Zoolz has not been automatically transferred to the replacement company P...B... where the ex-Zoolz lifetime plans are now sold. I have done my research and can guarantee it is Zoolz, round 2. I suggest everyone affected like me finds sites reviewing the replacement company and places comments warning unwary future victims, also denounce Zoolz to econsumer.gov (You can do this from any country as well as to the relevant authority in your country). I confirm you need to email restore@ twice before any data restore will begin. I recommend Zoolz stop posting that ridiculous response to every comment on this page and spend time instead figuring out how to uphold some company values - starting with integrity.

"I paid to sign up for a lifetime plan"
I paid to sign up for a lifetime plan, not a one year plan. Zoolz just told me that they can cancel it at anytime they like. If they don't plan to honor a lifetime plan, they should not start it at the beginning. Besides, the restoration from the backup never works. It's been running for 2 days on my computer and it still says "Calculatng'. Who would still trust a company that can change their contract on their side any time they want and a system that takes more than 2 days to calculate 180GB of data and can't still finish calculating.......

"So much for Zoolz Lifetime plan"
So much for Zoolz Lifetime plan. Expired after less than 5 years. I have tried every way they have told me to try and download my data and nothing works. Now in order to get my data I guess I will need to sign up for a new plan. What a rip off! Good thing I had a back-up to this cloud and will only lose a small amount.

"Can't be trusted to keep your data safe"
Bought a lifetime plan in 2015, I'm still alive but the plan has been ended and Zoolz will now erase all data. If you can't fulfil your 'lifetime' promises you should refund all those who bought lifetime products. Also the interface and backup is antiquated and slowww.

"Class Action on Scamster Zoolz.com"
When we bought Subscription from zoolz.com, we didn't select Zoolz Australian data center , so zoolz should move our accounts to their international data-center, else we will lodge class-action. The company is still operating and should respect our bought subscriptions, Closing down of Australian data center & making our active subscription null and void/obsolete is no solution. offer us another account or face class action.

"Bought a lifetime plan in July of 2018"
Bought a lifetime plan in July of 2018. Now they claim covid caused them to discontinue the plan and erase all my data. Crap company. Scammer.

Let us open a Facebook Group / Page and take action as a group and share our ideas and steps against this fraud company.
Minimum we (not only I) want money back.

"Ludicrous"
Ludicrous. Paid £74 for a 'lifetime' subscription two years ago, just to be emailed to say that all my data would be deleted; I spent HOURS of data and electicity uploading my content believing it to be safe. This is NOT because of COVID - they just realised that Home buyers were not as lucrative as Business buyers. To have 'we are not a scam' company in the content of the email left me flabbergasted; what an amazingly stupid call to make. To delete unfavourable comments on facebook won't stop you being ripped apart on here. I hope the Barbra Streisand effect destroys you and your reputation. What a disgusting and dishonest way to act. You are EXACTLY what you state you are; scam artists through and through. Hope you go under, you complete crooks.

"When a company says it is not a scam…"
When a company e-mails you and feels the need to point out that they are not a scam company, then you know something is very wrong and you need to pay full attention!
The lifetime account I had with Zoolz is being terminated by them after just a few years. I am not inline for any refund (had the account for over a year), so I have lost my money (to be shortly followed by my data).
Do not get me wrong, I am not lamenting the loss of a valued and well used service. Zoolz is such a slow service that I found it to be no longer viable for data backup for home use - how such a service can be sold as viable to a business is a real mystery to me.
The only reasonable excuse for ending a lifetime account is closure of the company, anything else just sounds disingenuous.
