28th of November I placed an order in excess of £2k for a watch, which was advertised as being in stock.
Once the order was placed, I was advised on 03/12 that the order had been placed with the 'brand' and they will provide a delivery date when possible.
I then chased on the 07/12, 10/12, 13/12, 15/12, all with no response and decided to cancel my order on the 16/12.
My cancellation request was acknowledged and taken forward.
I then received a call from Joshua Parfitt on the 18/12 with a view of aiming to retain my business. We discussed my concerns related to lack of communication; had I known the lead time is 'x' amount of time, I wouldn't mind, I just needed communication.
Joshua understood my concerns and by way of keeping my custom, offered a discount of c.£287.50, and a promise to be better at communication.
I agreed and on the 21/12 I received an email to advise that the estimated arrival date for my watch was 29/01/2024. I was happy to wait.
On the 05/01, I realised that my 'discount / refund' hadn't been processed so had to remind C W Sellors; they responded the same day and processed the refund.
On the 30/01, I requested an update on my order, acknowledging that the ETA maybe delayed - no reply.
I chased on the 02/02 - no reply.
I chased on 07/02 - no reply.
I chased on 12/02 - no reply.
I called on the 19/02, the adviser acknowledged it had been an unusually long wait since my initial order and did apologise. They were going to check with the order team and request an update as a priority, with a view of coming back to me within 48 hours - no follow up.
I called again on the 21/02, to be told that C W Sellors are awaiting an update from U-Boat (the brand), as all their units are hand crafted and can take months to be manufactured. Therefore, it could still be months before delivery.
Upon this news, I requested my order be cancelled but asked to speak direct with the cancellation team, I was unable to. My reasoning for speaking with the cancellation team was because I had paid via a credit card back in NOVEMBER, of which I had since paid it off, therefore, any refund into my credit card (£1.9k) would put me in a credit balance, however I wouldn't be able to access the cash without incurring a fee. I followed this up with an email and my request that the refund be paid into my Bank account, which was not responded to.
I have just followed up via phone call (26/02) as I had received no communication in relation to my cancelled order. My cancellation has been processed and the refund is being issued tomorrow to my credit card. I explained that I require the refund to a different account of which the adviser was disinterested.
In summary, I am financially out of pocket, C W Sellors have no interest in resolving or putting me back to the correct position had I not placed an order with them. Had I known that placing an order on the 28/11, would mean that I may not see a product until the following April would have prevented me from placing an order.
To add insult to injury, I have had direct dialogue with the 'Brand' (U-Boat) who advise that the piece I want is a popular model that is often in stock and if I place an order direct from their website, it would be shipped within 2-3 working days (delivery likely to be 5-7 working days as it's overseas). Therefore, I can only conclude that C W Sellors explanation that the watch is 'hand-crafted' and takes months to manufacture is a stretch of the truth.

Good points - because I had a discount code, my Clogau bracelet was 10% cheaper which was quite a lot.
Bad points - the bracelet took a long time to arrive because you had to send away for it. As a result, I had to email you to enquire about it. Unfortunately, it arrived too late for my birthday.
