"4 months after device turned off battery discharge company still sending false reports"
When I first got great call it seemed to work I got it for my mother my mother ended up going into a nursing home and no longer needed the device I canceled the device four months ago I turned the device off and stopped charging it and put it in my bottom drawer 4 months ago the device now is about 600 mi to a thousand miles away from my mother and I still keep getting monthly reports telling me all the swell things my mother is doing around town and how she did this and that all a lie the device is turned off as I said I called the company for five times asked them why am I getting false reports on my mother's activities when I am no longer a customer and the device is turned off and the battery in it is dead I checked they told me oh we can't really stop the erroneous reports of your mother's activities so just delete the app from your phone and it won't bother you any longer a company that knows they're sending out false reports knows I am no longer a customer after four phone calls reminding them of that and the best they can do is tell me to delete the app so I won't continue getting false reports God forbid your mother or father or loved one falls and needs this service and it doesn't work and they're only answer is oh we have no control over the app just delete it from your phone not acceptable in life and death situations if the company cannot even control sending out false reports for 4 months after a person stops paying how can they in any way control or be counted on to save the life of a loved one if this device is needed stay away from this device I cannot recommend it and this is a life and death type of a thing stay away

Constantly dropped calls, service goes in and out sitting in the same place; doesn't happen to someone with the same service provider in the same room. Texts go missing. Archaic technology, similar to original Sprint technology in 1996.
I would not trust my loved ones life with a phone that is not reliable.
One customer service rep lied to me when I wanted to change my minute plan (yes...the charge by blocks) and said I could not get 500 texts for $3 a month with anything less than the 2500 minutes a month plan. The next month, I dropped down to the 1000 phone minutes a month and low and behold, kept the text plan.
They have a niche market and marketing plan. There are alternatives out there though...you just gave to look.

My mother and I have been dealing with everyone from increasing phone bills to quality of devices and very rude and inexperienced customer service. I strongly believe this company preys on the elderly and the more I read the reviews, the more sick I feel. Disgusting

"Just beware"
Just beware, the price goes up just a few cents a month. Not enough that you would waste your time to call and complain, but it's consistent. The bill I get for my father's phone started out at $21.72 in June of 2020. Now here we are in November and the bill is now up to $22.73. I will be canceling if this continues. It's not the amount of money, it's the principle.

This is a great flip phone for the price. We currently have the basic package but as grandpa ages, it's nice to know we can upgrade and add more services. He was able to transfer his cell phone number to this phone. He likes that the numbers are big and he can just sit it inside the charging station safely.

I would give them 0 starts if possible. I called to cancel my deceased father's account and they would not back date the cancellation to the date of his death. They would not reimburse me for the weeks between his death and my call to cancel. They expect you to call the day your loved one dies in order to not be charged for phone service a dead person can't use.

"I have to share an amazing experience…"
I have to share an amazing experience with a customer service representative by the name of Sharon in Nevada. My mom called in due to an increase in her bill almost triple. I recently moved in with my parents due to my mom becoming ill. While ill I noticed my mom learned how to log onto Facebook at almost 80 years of age and reconnect with some old friends. Since I noticed her logging in on her phone daily, I decided to upgrade her router not realizing she used her wifi from the home router. Well she got an enormous bill and didn't understand how. I called customer service, spoke to Sharon who was nothing but amazing. The ending outcome was she assisted with the problem, saved a customer and is gaining another customer when I switch my dad over.
Thank you Sharon for displaying nothing but professionalism

I was helping my mom upgrade and spend sometime deciding what products were best for her and needed to ponder a few hours then called back to wait on for a rep for 1 hr and 20 min and then hung up. Today I called back with exactly what my mom wanted and with offers we had been given. I am feeling sorry for the reps as the discounted info that the reps I spoke to yesterday ( I shared names) were not documented so I didn't get them and I had to go over the fact that GREAT CALL add said 50% off but reps said that was only for existing customers. I asked where it indicated that anywhere and was told they couldn't find it. It took me 46 min to order 2 products that I knew what I wanted. I can't imagine what this would have been for my mom ordering these items. Very disappointed in the misleading pricing on the products and activation/shipping and length of time it took for the rep to enter the items and how this would have affected my mom if she had had to deal with this. Time to upgrade the ordering system.

Three different customer service people were so breathtakingly rude they left me speechless, and two of them actually hung up on me! I'm sure they are used to dealing with confused seniors, which I am not--I was helping my mom. We were never able to transfer her old phone # over after being told four different things, and then the brand new phone just completely died after two weeks. One agent told me they could send us a "refurbished phone." I was like, um, we're done here!!! Several of the customer service people were very kind and helpful, but overall, I think this company is crap.
