"Customer Care training needed ASAP"
Day two without heating or hot water and still no clear indication of when I might see an engineer. Shocking behaviour and advice from emergency call handlers. Would not stop talking over me to listen to my concerns!! Condescending and rude, customer care training seriously lacking. I will formally complain and definitely look for a new company to give my business to.

Our boiler broke this morning coldest day in a long time, we are both on our 70’s so don’t want to be cold. I contacted Saltire this morning and an engineer called very quickly and got our heating up and running, we can’t recommend this company enough they’ve always been great bot today we really appreciated how quickly they dealt with our problem. Well done 👏

I have been a customer for many years with saltire, tried today to get a new service plan up and running, agent said she would call back, heard nothing all day, my advice, avoid this outfit.

Poor customer service once initial installation completed. Needed manufacturer to come and correct their errors to make our system work reliably.

"Delays, Poor Communication, Still No Solar PV 1 Month After Planned Install And No Idea Of When!"
Got in touch with Saltire back at the start of April 2022 about getting solar PV install. The initial conversations were great, very helpful, came out to survey and were accommodating to my needs.
Agreed to go ahead at the start of May and was given an install date of 19th July as one of the parts (inverter) I wanted wasn't in stock. I was fine with this as I explained to them, I would much rather get a realistic date confirmed than a "maybe" one that keeps moving.
About 2 weeks before the install was due it all started going downhill.
I got in touch with them up to confirm everything was on track. The particular person I had been dealing with was off on planned leave and no one could see the record to tell me.
The following week (1 week before the install was due) I got in touch again to be told the inverter wasn't in stock yet. I asked what could be done, I even pointed out some suppliers that were selling it, their offer was that they remove the inverter from the quote and deal with it separately because that wasn't their normal supplier. Unsurprisingly I didn't go ahead as that seemed like a problem waiting to happen down the line.
Several chases with no real progress later we're now 1 day out from planned install date. I still can't get get a confirmed date, install definitely isn't going ahead on the planned date.
A couple of days later (now the 20th July) I get an email saying they have now managed to secure an inverter but they're just waiting on roof hooks which should be available in the next week or so.
We now get to the point where Saltire just stop answering my emails. I send several chasers and two weeks after this I get an email saying, they now have roof mounts but guess what, THEY DON'T HAVE ANY SOLAR PANELS!
I replied asking if they actually have the other parts (inverter and mounts) in stock or will there come a time when they have solar panels but the others are unavailable again? This was about a week ago and they haven't bothered answering me.
I've now missed a month of peak sun and have absolutely no idea when I'm actually getting solar panels installed. It's impossible to get an update and when I do it's usually to tell me about a new issue.
In summary, Saltire are great when they're selling you stuff, but the complete opposite when it comes to actually doing the work.

Hi just had annual gas service done had 2 of the most nicest young men who couldn’t do enough.I usually have Edinburgh council gas men doing the work who are usually in my house for about half hour.Saltire men were here for hour and 3 quarters everything was checked back of fire boiler and so forth thank yous so much you are a credit to your profession.

"Boiler care"
Took out boiler care and paid £16 for 3 years. Had issues with hot water so called them out. Engineer arrived and said it was the heat exchange in the boiler but it wasn’t covered!! Absolute joke. Cost £300 so cancelled their cover. Don’t use and beware what your signing up for
