My ENT referred me to Dr Ratliff for a routine hearing test. Results indicated a hearing loss in both ears and recommended hearing devices which I had not anticipated. Dr Ratliff recognized my anxiety, spent considerable time educating me, programmed and placed the devices right away. She prepared me for what to expect, to call anytime with concerns and scheduled a follow up appointment. I kept thinking—surely she has other appointments that are waiting.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I took my mother for her annual hearing test today and we were greeted by these two caring people, they are the best! If I had to give them a rating it would be “excellent”!

From the moment I walked into the reception area everyone was very kind, friendly,caring, helpful. The audiologist was wonderful, she was very kind. I got my time mixed up for my appointment. When she found out my volume on my Cocklear was too loud, she saw me and I really like her. She was vert good at fixing my Cocklear. I am so glad I wet to Johnson Audiology.

Dr. Karen and the staff have been extremely helpful in my travails to improve my hearing with my Evolv AI model 2000 hearing aids with Thrive Assistant. I have had several self caused issues from getting them wet to a malfunctioning aid and the whole staff gets involved in trying to relive the issue or make adjustments to improve my experience.
I will admit that with today’s technology in wired and wireless ear buds, I was expecting a richer hearing experience after wearing 6 year old technology hearing aids. But I have been underwhelmed by what the hearing aid industry as whole has to offer.
I am caught between hearing, listening and understanding clarity in normal conversation, both one on one and especially in groups, television and music with today’s technology. I am constantly fiddling with Thrive to imrove my situation and my personal life is degrading because of my inability to hear or understand those whom I love. I’m not even sure if my issue is with hearing aids or in between my ears.
