My daughter bought a nissan quashqi from them on 25th of July. Less than month later 16th of August it went into limp mode, needed £608.70p of repairs to it. They offered to pay £200 towards the repair as they hadn't sanctioned it, well what was my daughter supposed to do? Cotswold automotive had told her it was a warranty issue, warranty wouldn't cover it, so she felt so pressured into sorting it out herself and she desperately needed the car for work. She had to get it fixed and paid for immediately. Now they won't even cover the full cost of the repairs for a not fit for purpose car THEY sold!!!! No car sold fit for purpose goes that wrong that quickly.
Since repair it's gone wrong again it's in limp mode and needs a new DPF which will cost about 1k !!! Again not covered by warranty.
Cotswold automotive lied to her about her consumer rights so beware of this...the repairs should have been arranged by them but they just told her to call the warranty people and brushed her off.
It was nothing to do with the warranty. ( which was absolutely useless any way as it didn't cover the repair...so it's not use the paper it's written on)
Cotswold automotive are quick enough to take YOUR money. But if you want a refund, it will take 14days !!!!!....we found them to be deceptive and deceitful when it comes to telling you your consumer rights and fulfilling their legal obligations to you as a customer.
I really feel that they really are bullying her in this situation. Maybe that is how they treat young women who buy a car from them. ???
My daughter needs a good reliable car, it's such a shame she paid £4995 and didn't get that.
I wish we had looked up their reviews beforehand, my experience with this company means I can only say from my point of view :Stay away from this company. It's not even a proper looking place the 'dealership' is just a rented office space with a few cars parked outside. No way of fixing or sorting out any issues for you. They just farm it out to other garages in Bristol road Gloucester.
But then again I guess this is all the risk when you buy at distance over the internet.
We have sought legal advice which has backed us up and said Cotswold automotive are in the wrong which is reassuring, but it's just so much hassle to deal with all of this when it should have been an easy experience.
I feel they are dragging their heels as they have the money and means to do so.
NO CAR BOUGHT FROM A DEALER SHOULD EVER NEED THIS MUCH WORK/REPAIRING DONE TO IT WITHIN A MONTH OF BUYING.

Great selection of vehicles at very reasonable prices. I bought a VW Passat from Cotswold Automotive recently and I have had no problems with the car. I would definitely recommend their services to other people looking to buy their next car.
