This is the worst accounting company I have ever had work on my books . They have horrible customer service and watch out for their automatic service renewal. If you don’t cancel 60 days before you can’t cancel for another year. This is by far the worst company to work with. You will loss money . Go with a real bookkeeper

"Bench NIGHTMARE"

Working with Bench has been an absolute nightmare! If you are considering BENCH, RUN away! Never do business with them. They still haven't filed our 2022 taxes and now the IRS has contacted my employer to withhold additional taxes.

We had a truly excellent experience onboarding with Maya on Bench. Our business was less than organized as far as bookkeeping and needed to be brought up to date. Maya made the experience clear and easy, especially as it was one we had been dreading! Incredibly time consuming back and forth. It took them several weeks to figure out how to access my Chase bank account via third party log in because they couldn’t figure out basic things like accessing passwords they created.

Then excessively aggressive follow up was required to keep the process moving. Now it is in review and no more info is given on how much longer to expect the review process to take. Meanwhile interest and fees add up.

I joined Bench after my previous bookkeeper was not staying on top of things at all. It was such an easy transition, and everyone at Bench has been so helpful. I’m able to get in touch with people easily, and my books are always up to take. Highly recommended!

"Strong platform, need to improve consistency on account managers"

Bench provides us with really great check-ins on all bookkeeping/accounting issues so end-of-year taxes are a breeze. I've had mixed experiences depending on the account manager. When they assign you someone great for 2 years, things flow. When your account manager is changing every 2 months, it gets very disruptive and can be a hassle to feel like you are having to on-board someone new into your business every couple months. If the business can somehow retain folks and provide more consistency to clients, it would be a much stronger client experience.

Their technology, timeliness, follow-ups, customer service. We have been partnering with Bench for our Candle Company for about five years now and it just gets better and better.

They charged me $3100 for catchup bookkeeping before even doing any work, and I was able to find the same service for free with another company online. Also, I was able to sign up 2 businesses with a firm for the price of 1 business with them. They charged my card $10k+ of dollars with no work performed. How is that even legal.
