It begins like this …

Once you indicate interest in using their facility, like signing up as a free member, the modus operandi is that a Sales Consultant (in my case, she introduced herself as Pooja Chowdry, though she also goes with the name Pooja Kehwal) will call and tell you that are lots of candidates who fit your profile. To gain your interest, she will show you some great pictures and ask for your selection. The moment you select one, she would say that she will hold the file (before someone else grabs it), and ask you pay immediately and register.

As far as possible, the Sales Consultant will try to convince you take the highest paying plan, normally a 6 months plan. BTW if you select a lesser plan (in may case a silver plan, because I was doubtful from the beginning) they will take your money but soon you will realize that you are being ignored. The treatment will be alike a non paying member.

Most interestingly, after you pay they will activate your account but be silent on the candidate for a day or two. Once you enquire about the original selection you made, they will tell you that candidate whose picture was shown to you, is not interested in you. “Never mind”, they will say, “ there are so many candidates. Just navigate all our profiles to make your pick” – that’s their strategy.

Meanwhile, to prove that they are doing their part, they would send you, one or two matches. But this will be the worst matches you can expect. You would have stated your preference from the beginning, but what you are given will have nothing to do with your preference.

If you state your dissatisfaction, they will not answer. Your money is gone. You can scold them however you want but there will be dead silence. Earlier, they would promise that if you are not satisfied we will return your money. That is NONSENSE. As far as they are concerned you are “Done!”

BTW, once you are in you will realize that ALMOST 80% OF THEIR PROFILES WILL BE WITHOUT PICTURES. Maximum, the candidate profiles will have (i) name ( sometimes none, only a given ID); (ii) age; (iii) race; (iv) religion; (v) height; and (vi) a brief write up. Other details will not be disclosed. AND MOST OF THE EMAIL AND MOBILE NUMBERS PROVIDED IN THEIR CONTACT ARE NON FUNCTIONAL. I sent 40 over emails and 10 watsapp messages : NO EMAILS WERE ANSWERED, only 2 watsapp replied , they asked which matrimonial service I was using. And there were NO replies to calls.

The logical question is, how can any match be done MINIMUM WITHOUT A PICTURE? Assuming these profiles are true, are these people nocturnal beings hiding in the dark waiting for their prospective prey (in this case, candidates) to come? This is terrible and it certainly is dangerous. Because you do not know who these people are and what their real intentions are?



Apart from that, as a marketing strategy , in between the many profiles, they would insert photos of attractive models with scanty profiles. You may try as many times you will not be able to contact them.

Be reminded, you should not be surprised with fake identities in their docket of information. You search for Hindus, you will get Muslims. Someone would be listed in the Hindu category but on checking will have Muslim names. And there a lots of

I have drawn a long list of complaints and sent to them but they dare not reply. My advice is REPORT THEM TO THE AUTHORITIES and DO NOT USE THEM.


In brief, I dare say, MATRIMONIALS INDIA conducts an active, daring daylight robbery of their clients.

worst customer service, money minded site, no management and fake profiles. They call you in beginning just to convince you for paid services and after that no hearing from them.
I don't recommend it to anyone, don't get in their false traps.

Starting with a call from Matrimonials India.com POOJA KHEWAL (Delhi Office),they asked for the fees $167 CAD in regard of fake promise that bride's family is interested in my profile.Secondly,I did not found profiles genuine as without pictures,nobody provides correct contact details,for example already engaged profiles which are not deleted after so many requests.I would highly recommend do not ever waste your hard earned money with feelings in Matrimonials India.com.Please don't believe in their unprofessional staff,helpless.

This is nothing but money gouging business. Run by bunch of frauds. Took 3 months subscription and paid $500. After couple of calls these people started asking for more money and told me that I have exhausted my quota of conference calls claiming that I spoke to 9 matches snd in reality I only spoke to 3 matches. There so called relationship manager by the name of Rinki is a liar and will talk to you only for money. Don’t waste time and money with matrimonialsindia.com.
