"Do not guarantee anyone for Amigo loans"

When I first agreed to be a guarantee they promised it would be 3 missed payments before I would be asked to make a payment, this was not true. The person I guaranteed ended up being a single parent with 4 children. She managed to in the end make good on the loan at the correct time, but during the last 3 years if a payment was late by even 1 day I received a text and an email asking me to make good on the payment I feel like they should rename the company to Amigo loan sharks

I hope this helps people. I've got a loan with amigo and I've suffered alot of mental health issues. I was sold the loan without them looking into my debts or my gaurentaur. I had numerous threatening phone calls letters. Then I found out that I was entitled to equitable set off. Basically if you have made a complaint you have the right to stop paying the loan until this goes to the courts. They cannot pester you or your gaurentaur. I would recommend if anyone has a loan with amigo and has made complaints you should contact them and tell them you are not paying the rest of the loan until they have been to court.

Worst company ever, I took out loan of 3000 with Amigos. I have paid 6300 so far. I am in debt and money that can go out to paying other companies is only going to Amigos. I am in regrets that I took out a loan with this company. They need to come up with a plan for us because we are watching closely. The worst company ever.
