"My experience has put me off being a guarantor again"
I was guarantor for a friend, the loan has been repaid but I felt the company was aggressive when payment was late. I felt harassed by the amount of both emails and texts I received. I can only imagine what my poor friend was going through!
I appreciate the necessity of finding out why a payment is late but I feel the company should review timescales for chasing payments and the 'tone' of their correspondence.

"Mental Health Issue being ignored unfairly"

Having completed the questionnaire, provided details of my longstanding mental and physical health issues and doctors certificate in respect to current health problems no one seems to care, there seems to be no process in which someone can take ownership of my complaint and give this is week 16 since I made complaint I do find it really out of sorts in respect to a duty of care.
Initial reply to this review posted on 21.12.20 the same day in which Amigo stop processing redress as it seeks a scheme which may take a further year for a conclusion. I hope the FCA do not allow for this to happen, any claim already submitted should be dealt with. If you had of dealt with my complaint within 8 weeks' then I would of had a final response so I hope in these exceptional cases that took longer will still be considered for redress as it is unfair in these circumstances and this group just victims of poor processing.
I asked for a timeframe and was hoping to at least to receive a final response letter before Amigo shut for Christmas and New Year. I had written out a review on before but removed it as to give Amigo time to look into this but feel compelled to write this, I am fair and should someone be able to look at this will endeavour to update it.
I sincerely hope albeit it at this late stage Amgio looks at my case based on individual merits and that bo future delays are incurred.

After posting my last review amigo managed to get in touch the same day (after waiting four weeks) to give me the breakdown of my refund and offer. I accepted the offer and was told the refund and removal of my name from the loan would take ten working days. This was due yesterday - today it was actioned to the manager and I was told once this was done the funds would be paid out ASAP and be in my bank within “two hours”. That was at 10.15am this morning and there’s still no refund been sent. Rang amigo to be told there’s nothing more they can do now that it’s already been actioned due to breaking their ten day policy?
Happy to hound me for money they believe they’re owed but not so quick to refund the money they took without following procedure.
Wouldn’t recommend amigo to anyone. Twelve months I’ve been waiting to get to this stage and they’re dragging it on for as long as they possibly can. Both my physical and mental health have been severely impacted due to the situation I was left in with this loan which is noted on amigos behalf yet customer service are still less than helpful.
After logging in to my account to get access to my agreement number to make this review i discovered my arrears had gone up by another £300. Which I was told MONTHS ago would be frozen until the complaint had come to a close.. that close being my name taken from the loan and any impact on my credit file removed - as promised! which again, hasn’t happened!
Feels ridiculous to be chasing a company for money that’s agreeably owed to me.

Got a redress claim going through. The initial 8 weeks passed and they only send templated communication then after 9 weeks said I need to fill in questionnaires!!!!. Now 11/12 weeks have passed and still no refund offer for all the money im owed. I'm owed redress from 2 loans. They are using every delaying tactic going. To be fair the staff are really friendly and seem decent when I call but I just want to get this finalised. I should have never been put through all this. I'm owed money and should not be having to chase!!!! Thank you!! Please send my redress offer!

still awaiting outcome complaint was logged on 18th august everytime i ask for update i get the same type of response although my complaint was reguarding my most recent loan they have also added a previous loan with a different guarntor to my complaint, both guarntors have been contacted yet dont seem to have got any further and just get response that theres a backlog and that i can escalte to ombudsman.

Please no matter how deep you are in debt never go with these
They give people loans and top ups generally who have no other way out but to ask someone to step in as guarantor
They do not care about you hence the huge interest rates which has now been investigated and had to pay a ton of people back. Even now i am fighting to find out if im paid what im owed is correct on interest and their lack of communication when they owe you money is hell different to being hounded 24-7 every day by them when you cant pay!
Please avoid for your own sanity
