Long story Short:
my claim was initially Managed by the UK assistance. After 4 months they were still asking for the same documents I already sent twice, then they completely stopped responding.
In January I filed a complain and after that the Italian branch took over the claim, which was closed and refunded in 10 Days.
The way the Italian branch dealt with the complain would deserve a clear 5, but it cannot completely cancel the initial inefficiency.
OLD REVIEW:
In late August, I had to curtail the trip because of the death of my father. I immediately sent all the receipts and detailed all the costs that I had.
They asked them again a few weeks after , and I sent them.
I've been asked for them again in December (sent again).
Every time it takes 3 weeks (at least) to get an answer from them.
It just seems that they are trying not to pay.

Nothing went wrong but an insurance company should be judged on claims handling, not ease of accepting premia IMO. I´ll award 5 stars if I ever make a claim which is well handled.

All the positive reviews for this company relate to the ease of purchasing. All the negative reviews relate to their habit of not paying out on claims. My wife had a UTI and was treated by a hospital in Austria costing around 150 Euros. I had an excess of Euros 75, so a relatively small claim. They required documentation from regular GP to certify and detail ANY treatment that she had had for ANY medical condition in the twelve months prior. Try getting that from the NHS. Similarly they require a full report from the doctor in Austria. I understand the need to prevent fraud but this is cynical because they know that the cost of getting this information is higher than the claim
