"I have waited months to get a refund…"

I have waited months to get a refund for a cancelled order of a part. The company agreed to repay the balance at the end of Sept 22. I am not even certain if the part was needed as another engineer from Wolf managed to fix the issue without requiring the specific part that Capital insisted can only be ordered from Wolf in the USA

"Cooker Repair"

We had a cooker which was significantly underperforming, with Christmas about 2 weeks away. The initial appointment was made very quickly, and the problems diagnosed pretty well immediately. All necessary parts were ordered within 24 hours, and the cooker was completely fixed about 1 week later, with a few days to spare before Christmas. Very impressive!

"Shambolic communication and service"

I should start by saying I very rarely write a bad review. I run my own business and I appreciate how damaging bad reviews can be, particularly if they aren't justified.

I'd much rather resolve the issue direct, but no-one at Capital is taking responsibility and so my experience with Capital has left me exasperated. In fact, I'd actually give Capital zero stars if it was an option.

Our Caple Cooker Hood repair process began in Feb 2022, Capital having been recommended to us as an out of warranty repairer by Caple.

We're now in December 2022, we're 3 visits later, I'm £450 out of pocket, and my cooker hood is now in a worse state of repair than when they arrived.

The technician refusing to reinstate the lighting, as he doesn't have a wiring diagram (which is the office's fault apparently) and unwilling to use to use his common sense and just source one on the internet!

Communication has been shambolic. Just one fob off after another.

The technician and the parts department clearly don't communicate, in terms of what part(s) are needed for the repair or checking they have the right part before visiting. How can a repair diagnosis be made 2 times and they still return with the wrong part?

Customer communication with Capital has been poor. Its required regular chaser emails and calls to get progress on the repair. Only to be told in September that if I hadn't chased they wouldn't have ordered the part. Beggars belief.

I do understand that electronic components have been in short supply and accept delays are inevitable as a result. But not keeping your customer informed is plain wrong.

Now I am told the part I need isn't actually available and that I will need to replace the whole unit. This is fine if that's the case, but why has it taken 10 months to establish that??

Capital has been aware of the model number and age of the appliance since Feb22.

Hopefully this review is taken seriously by the folks at Capital and results in progress on my repair.

The current position is simply unacceptable.

"Just the best!"

Gary, who owns Capital Repairs came to look after my very old sub zero. He was just amazing. He just would not give up, even though all the odds were against him - he treated it as a mission. The freezer is over 25 years old most people would have told me to take a running jump, not him, he was a mine of information and totally committed to completing the job successfully. Go nowhere else!!!
