Had the pleasure to use capital repairs to fix my cooker. Romeo was very professional, kept time and ensured everything was in good working order before he left. He even swept and cleared all the rubbish. Left the place very clean.Will definitely use again. The reason I've given a 4 is they are quite expensive to call out but then again most electric repairs are.

Our cooker stopped working so we had a personal friend electrician diagnose the issue as a failed element. Contacted Capital Repairs (not heard of them before) so it’s always into the unknown. Following a very detailed and constructive discussion with Dipak the part was sourced, ordered and delivered within 2 days. New part was a perfect fit so now ‘we’re cooking’ again as they say! Excellent service so will use again.

"Money first, customer satisfaction LAST"
Often you read reviews saying "Avoid" and I make no exaggeration concerning the shambolic operations of this company. I had an engineer come out to fix a control panel on the extractor hood of my cooker. I ordered the part direct from the manufacturer but when the engineer came he said it was the wrong part and that I needed a different one. I was confused since the part was recommended by the manufacturer. Anyway, I paid the call out charge of £120 (15 minutes he was in the property) and agreed to source the part Capital Repairs recommended and to pay an additional £45 for the engineer to come back to fit the part. I paid in advance for this too.
This is when things turned into a comedy of errors. I waited all day and took time off work so that he could come and do the work. Nobody showed up (19th November). I contacted Capital Repairs and they said: "I am very sorry. I have spoke to the engineer who advised he was held up but was unable to contact the office in time as we close at 6pm." (I thought this sounded a bit unlikely since the engineer would have known he was not going to make the visit and should have alerted the head office or better still the head office should be aware via some sort of rudimentary tracking system but this was not the case.
We rebooked another visit in December and he turned up and after 30 minutes he concluded he was unable to complete the job because he had left his soldering iron at the workshop. So low and behold I had to take more time off work for this guy to return 2 days later. And what happened? He STILL couldn't make the part fit properly and started coming up with excuses about the part/extractor hood and that he would not mark this job as completed and he would speak to his colleague.
Let me state, all of the above I would actually be willing to forgive as part and parcel of eningeering issues. What I do not forgive is the fact that 7 days on NO ONE from Capital Repairs has contacted me about the incomplete job or plans to rebook it or to solve it. This is the issue with this company. They are transactional and money-motivated not customer satisfaction focused. If I had not paid in advance I would be chased and hounded by them.
As it stands I do not want these people in my property again. I would like a refund for the ridiculous lack of service. I will also consider speaking to the manufacturer about the misrepresentation of this company as a contractor for their products.
