On Monday my wife and I received our 2 St Edmund sofas from yourselves, excellent, great quality, beautiful leather and a joy to sit down on and relax after a hard day at work.
Please pass on our thanks to your staff, especially Luke, who were very helpful (and patient) to us, and also your delivery guys who were very polite and kept us informed throughout the day of their arrival time.

To be fair good leather quality if you purchase premium leather and great delivery guys. That is as good as it gets though .Simply the worst company that we have ever dealt with Poor communications ,

You can guarantee items delivered will differ in size and design from that advertised, they make it up as they go along
Ordered in all 4 sofas and 2 arm chairs none of which were fit for purpose .
They struggle with honesty, delivery time scales are considerably longer than advertised.
They have no respect for consumer law and will attempt to insult you with their version. We tried to work with this company to get a successful outcome but they are beyond help. Many years ago hey had a good product now its a cheap imitation. Recommend that you avoid
RESPONDING TO THE COMPANY"S COMMENT BELOW
1. Yes the first attempt the length of the 2 sofas ( which were apparently anew design were a long way short of what was advertised. No one thought of measuring them before shipping.The' Manchester Chair' in the same order was not a new product and again was significantly smaller than advertised and so badly designed ( albeit nice to look at in pictures). The footstool that came with it was badly scarred . No one seem to check anything before shipping.
2 We placed another order to replace first order the 2 sofas are so uncomfortable and are badly made . The company agree to take them back but want to charge £750 to collect them. Have initiated a section 75 claim with credit card
3. Foolishly we also ordered a footstool at a reduced price , months have gone buy they know they have not shipped it but are reluctant to give us our money back. Reluctantly we agreed to pay by bank transfer and not credit card , Big mistake .Now have to go through the courts system to recover what is tantamount to fraud.
4 Foolishly purchased what we were told was a recent customer return chair £280 which turned out to be some battered old chair that had been used considerably. They showed a picture of a 2 seater sofa and when we complained they tried "sold as seen " even though we had not seen but they had assured us it was "new customer return". Since referred to Trading Standards who have deemed this practice as 'illegal and criminal, now need to initiate a civil recovery again because they would not take credit card.
5. Still believe they are above the law and have asked us to modify this review because they feel it is unfair ( they just cant see it any other way than their way which smacks of a company that have been getting away with these things for so long they no longer can tell the difference between right and wrong. No respect for the law whatsoever. I can say for an absolute fact that the Chesterfield Company have recently been admonished by another well known review site for abusing the process and placing reviews about themselves. UPDATE ...3 weeks ago Chesterfield / Forrest Sofas finally accepted that they were not above the law and agreed to take the 3 items back at their expense . Since then we have had to repeatedly politely chase for the refund of £3,238 ( today they sent only the £100 for the item they never supplied back in May) and all we get is lies and excuses . When a company sets aside their integrity in this manner it is s usually indicative of liquidity problems ( if in 3 weeks they could only refund £100 of the £3328 they owed us) given the financial and administrative problems within the company any potential sofa buyer needs to be sure that Chesterfield / aka Forrest Sofas will be around long enough to honour their obligations under the law should they have a problem with their sofa LoL

we have just taken dly of our first chesterfield suite and we are over the moon with the service and quality we received. Our contact in sales was Luke who made sure we were completely satisfied with the specification before production started, delivery was excellent and we are now the proud owners of a top quality suite. "Fabulous Furniture - Top Quality and Excellent Customer Service"
My partner and I had been looking to replace our suite for about a year but hadn't found anything that struck the right note. We began looking at leather sets and decided we wanted a Chesterfield. We found the Chesterfield Company online, and quite a few other firms - but kept coming back to the traditional look of the Heaton - some things don't go out of style. We aren't near Manchester but were drawn in by the Mother's day sale and ended up placing an order for the 4-seater and 2 chairs on the day. Later on, the company advertised a deeper discount and when I pointed this out, they took no time in honouring the price. When the set was ready, we had to delay delivery due to a family emergency and the company and their delivery firm met our every need. We've had the suite over a month now and I couldn't be more pleased. Its equisitly made, the leather is beautiful and the craftsmanship superb. The staff in the showroom were young, but knowledgeable and helped us avoid making a rookie mistake by showing us how the tone of the leather would stretch. I would commend them without reservation. Just beautiful.

"Worst company to deal with"
I have never experience such bad customer service and would advise anyone to think twice before purchasing from them. We purchased 2 flat wing chairs which arrived not as described on their website and after 1 month of emails and telephone calls they was collected but at our expense. Although they was in breach of the Consumer Rights Act they never acknowledged this or responded to emails/calls. The quality of the chairs was also very poor and definitely not worth the money. Think very carefully before purchasing from them.

"WORST COMPANY EVER"
in over 50 years of being an adult ,this is the worst company i have ever had the misfortune to deal with,spend the time to read this review as it could save you time and money in the long run
went to the chesterfield company salford on the 4th january to look at suites ,the sales staff were pleasant and helpful ,we decided on a 2 seater chesterfield and a three seater chesterfield with a total price of £1970.00
we paid 50% deposit ,and were told it would be 4 - 6 weeks ,suprisingley after 4 weeks we got a call to say our suites were ready ,and we needed to pay the balance in full ,we did this and was told we would be given a delivery date within a few days ,
after 3 weeks we had heard nothing ,so i rang and was told the delivery company would be in touch after another week and another phone call
the delivery company did finally give us a date for delivery ,approximately 4 weeks after we had paid ,and was told it was ready
the company advertises a white glove delivery service ,so we expected a proffessional delivery company n,not a white transit van ,that looked like it had just been bought at auction ,the guys were decent enough
but when i asked them where the white gloves were ,they just laughed at me ,they seemed to be in an awful hurry to get the suites delivered and the gone
it was after they had gone that we noticed on the front of the 2 seater that the leather went from chesnut to tan just below the cushions ,and it stuck out like a sore thumb
i immediately took a photo of this and sent it to the chesterfield company,and then followed this by telephoning them,the reply i got was leather goes like this when it is stretched ,it looks ok ,can i send more pictures ,my reply was how many pictures do you want ,you can see the exact problem with this one problem
after me threastening them with a solicitor and trading standards ,they finally agreed to putting it in the hands of homeserve ( leather repair specialists )
we got a visit on 25th february,when the technician agreed it should not have even passed quality control like that,and he would need to get a report back to the chesterfield company,because to repair it they would need a colour match ,by 30th march i phoned up homeserve who admitted that the chesterfield company hadnt even ordered the colour match ,and woould get onto it straight away ,finally last week we got a phone call to arrange a technician visit ,and today may 5th a very nice guy from homeserve came and repaired it ,which took him about 30 minutes, in all this time not once have the chesterfield company apologised for sending out an inferior product which should not even have passed there quality control ( homeserves words not mine )
we needed another 2 chesterfields for our other room needless to say we went elsewhere for them
i run my own business and pride myself on good customer services ,if this had been my company ,and because the company were at fault i would have apologised immediately and given at least a 10% refund for all the hasstle ,not the chesterfield company whose nmoto should be lets take your money first ,then its not our problem if you have a fault .BE WARNED
