"Meal deal joke was on me! But rectified."

I ordered a few things including the curry meal deal I.e. 2 mains, sides, and drinks for £9.00. Because 1 of my chosen side dishes wasn’t available they didn’t substitute for something else. Instead they thought I’d prefer to go without that side dish and pay full price for the rest! Really?
Never again will I be online shopping at the Coop!!
Well, I take it back! I have been contacted and refunded £9.10
I’m not sure I would order online again but am happy with the way in which my complaint was dealt with.

What has happened to Tonge Moor co-op?? Are the staff now no longer allowed to smile? You used to be able to chat with them while you were shopping but not anymore, most of the staff look at you like you’re an inconvenience. Speaking of staff, they seem to have lost a few good ones recently. I’m assuming this is due to bad management as I have spoken to a couple of them, Dan and Wendy (so glad they wear name badges), and they are rude and unhelpful.
Co-op is supposed to be community stores but this store wouldn’t know community if it jumped up in front of them. I miss the old days of the co-op

I used to use co op every day good meat good food but now won't even walk through the door your card is useless I shop Aldi Sainsbury's Tesco you were supposed to be for the people jog on cos your not your reductions with the card is minimal

They don't deserve to have customers..total rip off and the staff have all had personality bypasses.

Like other UK supermarkets, Coop say they're happy to hear if there is a problem with the food they sell. However unlike other supermarkets what you have to do with Coop is write a long-winded description of the issue on a page on their website, listing every detail. They then send you a quick reply via a "no-reply" email address saying "sorry you had a problem". As far as they're concerned that's the end of it - no refunds, no action, no follow-up. I'm not quite sure how this is them providing customer service....? It's simpler to just throw the offending food in the bin, don't waste any of your own time filling in stuff on their website, and just shop at any of the other supermarkets instead. Obviously their food is expensive - it's Coop after all - but I did always think their customer service might be at least as good as any other retailer.

Discount card useless, I applied for a discount card from yourselves used it a few times my big gripe was when I visited another co-op store in my local area and was told I couldn't have any discount because this card isn't acceptable here, I pointed bout it's co-op but they told me for some reason there are several different cards for them?? It's like walking into Sainsbury's with your nectar to be told you need a different one, I've never heard anything so stupid ,it's bad enough with having to use a discount card the prices should be lower in the first place, a loyalty card is stupid and annoying.

Without doubt one of the most over priced and over rated sub standard outlets going. The coop in the garage on Hartshay Hill in Ripley seems to be a training ground for the most defective and rude staff in the area. It's quite stunning that only 2 of the female staff are actually any good, the rest are useless ill mannered and not fit for purpose as shop staff anywhere! It's self evident there is an ongoing problem with this store and it will be a happy day when this gets taken over by another company.
