Garbage pound shop conveyancers to be avoided at all costs.

They were nominated as my 'free' conveyancing service for my mortgage switch. Even that was overpriced for the service I received.

What should have been a simple switch (with about three months to the expiry of my current deal) was reduced to a mad panic scramble.

I ended up binning my application and sticking with my current provider as I had zero confidence they would complete the process in time. Appalling customer service.

I've recently completed on the purchase of a leasehold flat using GPL.

There were a lot of complications from the sellers side but Bev (and her team) kept battling away with them whilst keeping me in the loop.

It's has been nice knowing they're on the case without me pestering. They were very thorough so I knew that once they were happy to proceed then I could be too.

I had an awful experience previously with the free conveyancing companies provided by the lending banks, both I and my mortgage advisor, have previously spent the entire festive period on the phone to them, since they did not respond to emails at all, and despite it did not manage to complete on time. It was more than a week late.
