"5 stars"
Zeba has been amazingly helpful from the start. She was very knowledgeable and patient guiding me through the process of a transfer of equity and I am particularly grateful for the guidance when it transpired, we needed to add in an unexpected deed of variation. I really appreciate all of her help. It made a stressful process much less stressful 😊 Thank you!

"Just bought our first home and have…"
Just bought our first home and have been really impressed by the service we have received by Gordon’s Property Lawyers.
Hajra kept us well informed, guided us through each stage and was incredibly friendly whenever we spoke on the phone.
Made the whole experience pain free!

"Clear and Simple Process."
Our case handler was clear with what we needed to do throughout the process and what was requested by our lender. They kept us up to date with status at all times and always responded to my enquiries. The process was quick and efficient.

"Uncommercial, robotic, unresponsive"
Very process driven without anyone making sensible human decisiions, leading to unnecessary delays. Would not use if I had the choice (the were my bank's lawyers on a simple remortgage).

"Efficient"
Efficient, timely responses, good communication all handled by Sammy Elsheikh.

"Perseverence and low fees."
The transaction took 10 months to complete most of which was taken to evict a tenant from one of my properties as required by the lender. Then the lender requested too many searches which took even longer; but this was outside the solicitor's control. The best part was that they charged me less than the £330 estimate in fees; so, I'll be using them again.

"Very slow, poor communication, ended up costing us money due to missed deadline.."
Based on a recommendation we were assigned GPL to remortgage our house at the end of a fixed term. We had a deadline for completion several months ahead (December) so that we didn't switch to the much higher variable rate. This was made clear to them from the beginning (September). You would think 3 months is plenty of time for a simple remortgage.
Unfortunately, poor communication, very slow responses to emails (never spoke to our case handler once despite calling them and requesting call back), missing critical information we'd already sent previously, and asking for critical information literally days before the deadline (i.e. new mortgage offer which they had months to say they hadn't received) ultimately cost us several hundred pounds due to missing the deadline and causing us to defer to the variable rate of the existing mortgage.
I sent a formal complaint 2 weeks ago with no response or even confirmation of receipt. The next step will be legal ombudsman.
Please save yourself unnecessary worry, stress, and lost time and potentially lost money by avoiding GPL!

"Warning!"
Beware!
They will claim not to have received documents to delay your case.
Ignore your e-mails
Don't tell you they need more info on a document until you call the office 36 days later.
They will switch solicitors in charge of your case midway through so that you can't prove who mishandled the case.
And pull out after nearly 5 months just before exchange of contacts stating that they can no longer act on your behalf because they are not insured for the buildings safety act.
Incompetent or dishonest?
Gross negligence or gross misconduct?
Instruct this cowboy outfit at your own risk.
P.S they even refused to pass my case file onto a new solicitor.
