"Slow poor service"

Slow poor service. Did not always respond to messages, leaving me in the dark what was happening with my remortgage. Stated they hadnt recieved information when they had. Overall I wouldn't recommend or use the company again.

If I could give a minus rating on this company I would! Applied for a simple remortgage through NatWest. I remortgage every 2 years and have always done so without issue. Over 2 months down the line they still have not progressed my mortgage.

"Really bad service"

Really bad service, many emails unanswered, wrong documents would be sent, leading to delays until correct version was received.
I would phone after requested documents were sent and there would be no record of Gordons receiving them, even days later. Terrible, the mortgage completion was delayed by around 2 months, which has cost me hundreds of pounds extra because of Gordon’s incompetence.

"Not a pleasant experience"

Not a pleasant experience to be honest.

Started during the Omicron lockdown and we didn’t have access to a printer and they needed paper copies of several docs which didn’t help.

Only contact was via an online messaging service. I made a mistake (which is easily done). No response to a request for a phone call. Eventually got through to them after spending over an hour on the line. Call handler said they’d pass on a message with my number and put a paper form in the post - call never came, form never came.

I was asked for information. Information was provided. Then radio silence. Then after three weeks the same information was asked for again and, could I ask the bank for the eight figure reference number they need. And the eight figure reference number is literally there in the message bubble below the one you’ve just sent me. It’s directly below.

Then things started moving and apart from some contradictory advice got there in the end.

Overall, long, drawn-out and inflexible. I was tardy with a few things but I don’t do this every day for a living.

Excellent service provided by Gordons Property Lawyers. We cannot complain at all, everything was handled quickly and efficiently with our Remortgage. It was ideal being kept to date via the portal as myself and partner have busy jobs and can’t always answer the phone.
I would highly recommend this company to family and friends in future. We would happily use them again.
