What an amazing coach driver and lovely wife (Simon and Sammy), we’ve just returned from a eurodisney break and they were absolutely wonderful, they are so helpful and the driver was really funny, felt really safe on the coach and that was because of how attentive they were, thank you so much

"Second time travelling with Gold Crest…"
Second time travelling with Gold Crest Holidays and would not chose anyone else for a coach holiday. Everything from start to finish was spot on, drivers were fantastic and friendly and always making entertainment between them for everyone on board which the kids loved, films played and music to suit all. Gold crest made everything so easy for me and nothing was ever too much trouble when I needed my questions answered beforehand. Thanks as always gold crest!

"Myself and a friend booked to see Andre…"
Myself and a friend booked to see Andre Reiu in Maastricht for July 14th . We chose Gold Crest as we were told at the time of booking that we would get on our Luxury Coach at Temple Meads station Bristol at 7.30 . However when the details arrived it was changed to going to the bus station at 6.10 to catch the national express bus . I phoned them immediately as I was not happy with this ,only to be told “ it’s in the terms and conditions “ . My argument was this should have been actually mentioned at the time of booking ,by spoken word rather than small print .This was done for their benefit and to save money. My main concern was out of anxiety, for myself and my friend who has had serious health problems . There was no reassurance, and was told it only takes 2mins from Victoria to Green line bus station,I can assure you when you are pulling a suitcase and not fit as a fiddle it takes longer ,plus it’s very busy in London. Our next coach was due to arrive at 10.30 ,but didn’t arrive till gone 11, we were then taken to Medway for our coach to go to Maastricht . Our coach driver was Adrian of Red rose coaches , he was a very good driver and everyone agreed he was very helpful,a credit to his company Red Rose Coaches. We stayed in the Thon Hotel Brussels ,this was alright . Breakfast ok . Lady on reception on first night was not happy and there were no other staff to help ,which made her more unfriendly. Seeing the concert was spectacular, It’s amazing and go if you ever get the chance .we were lucky with the weather. We did get held up on the ferry for hours on the way back ,which meant we got back at 2am ,I can’t blame gold crest for that ,but there was no pre warning .But would I book with Gold Crest again ? The answer is No ! They do not mention in the brochure about having to catch a bus ! They luxury coach description is not accurate . Also when I emailed them about my concerns before we left ,basically they did not care ! They accused me of contacting Trading Standards ,before them ,which was not true .I did after getting nowhere on the phone to them. No empathy once they have your money .Not the caring family firm they boast about .

"Gold Crest Holidays Have Put Me Off Coach Tours"
Having been ill for the past few years, I wasn’t able to get away as much as I used to, so I decided to book a coach tour to see Andre Rieu in Maastricht. I figured I would at least be taken from ‘door to door’. Firstly, about a week before I was due to go, I received an email telling me they would be putting me on a National Express from my home town to London Victoria. Not a problem as it did say this may have to happen. At Victoria we joined a feeder coach to Medway Services. We were told this feeder coach would leave at 10.30am. I found the coach stop at Victoria and all the other travellers, who had all been told the same thing - 10.30am. At 10.30 am there was no feeder coach, nor at 10.45am….at this point one of the passengers called the company to be told the driver was stuck in traffic and would be there in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later a bemused coach driver turned up to tell us HE had been told to pick us up at 11am! The driver was from a company called Red Rose Travel, whom Gold Crest Holidays sub contract out to….I have to admit I was expecting to travel on a ‘Gold Crest Holidays’ coach, but hey ho, you can’t have everything and it was no biggie! At Medway services we transferred onto other coaches which were our main coaches for the entire weekend. Our driver Adrian was lovely, and kept us informed of timings etc over the weekend. However, on the information sheet it stated that Tea/Coffee etc may be available on some tours and came under the title of ‘on-board refreshments’. Now, I’m not a greedy person by any means, but I did think that a ‘coach tour holiday’ would at the very least provide basic drinks (tea, coffee, water) inclusive of the price - but no! We were informed by Adrian that tea and coffee was available - at a pound a cup, and bottles of water also, at the same price! It also informed us that there would be ‘regular comfort stops throughout the journey’ - other than changing coaches we didn’t stop! Thankfully there was a toilet on board! Also, at the very least, I would have expected usb ports by the seats to be able to charge phones etc…again, surely a basic nowadays of a coach holiday…
As I had been put on a National Express coach TO London, I was also put on one for the journey home after the weekend. It was booked for 8.30pm. However on talking to some of the other passengers, I was told ‘but we don’t get back to Victoria until 8.35pm’! Well that’s going to be a bit tricky isn’t it!! It didn’t matter though, as we missed the ferry back, and I ended up being put on the 11.30pm coach, waiting around Victoria Coach Station for over an hour, on my own….not quite my vision of ‘door to door travel’! When I mentioned this to the company their response was ‘well, we’ve done our part, we’ve got you on a coach home…’ Yup, thanks for that!
I’ve given two stars as the actual weekend was well planned and the hotel very comfortable, but this experience with this company has put me off ever trying a coach holiday again, as it really didn’t live up to the description and there just seemed to be a lack of care and consideration.

"Hi we went to Maastricht and stayed in…"
Hi we went to Maastricht and stayed in the Thon hotel in Manchelen which was adequate.
Going out (because I chose to book late) we drove to Sandbach services to meet the coach (thank you Gold Crest for the free parking facility). Our Red Rose driver Adrian was fabulous well informed and totally knowledgeable about the coach, the process at Dover and driving abroad appeared second natural (well done and thanks Adrian). The lady at the hotel appeared very stressed because she was operating reception, the bar and any other queries. Gold Crest were great we arrived Adrian went and and collected all our room keys “great service”. We visited Aachen 3 country point and a very interesting valkenburgh. Fantastic service throughout but on the way back despite Adrian’s best efforts the French border staff delayed everyone for 6 hours as they were checking 3 other coaches that operate across europe and beyond (I understand security but why not only delay those coaches and put a separate team on different coaches). I will in the future take coach holidays BUT we will not be using Calais (if Calais is the only option we won’t be booking) rather use Dunkirk. Overall we’d like to thank Gold Crest and a very hard working Adrian “well done that man”

"Booked with Goldcrest to see Andre Rieu…"
Booked with Goldcrest to see Andre Rieu concert in Maastricht, there were three in my party, myself, my wife and the wife’s sister, Goldcrest made sure we were kept altogether during our trip, we had seats next to each other on the coach and even our hotel rooms were next door to each other which made our trip much more enjoyable, we had no issues with booking and there was always a friendly person on the other end of the phone, the coach we travelled on was very comfortable and well presented , wouldn’t hesitate to book with Goldcrest again in fact I want to book for Andre Rieu at Christmas for 2024 and hopefully Goldcrest will have that trip on their agenda. Thank you Goldcrest for everything you did for us.

"Maastricht Andre Rieu…"
A group of 5 went to Andre Rieu's Concert at Maastricht with Gold Crest. A great 3 nights, Coach driver Lee looked after us really well. Kept us informed at each stage and stayed calm and coped well with the long wait of 2hours 30 minutes each way at customs.
Hotel good, fantastic breakfast. great trip (apart from customs). Thank you and thank you to Lee.
