"Not for me"

We took the 4 day Yosemite and Grand Canyon tour. In retrospect we should have realised that you simply can't do these places justice, in such a short time. The distances are huge. 6.30 am starts, long days travelling in a cramped bus and rushed stops at the places of interest. You pay for what you get and this tour was inexpensive. The company caters for Chinese tourists who have different cultural expectations. They should advertise this fact. Stops at supermarkets, a shopping outlet in the middle of the desert and Mac Donald's for food were unbelievably frustrating. The guides try their best but herding sheep is never easy! I felt sorry for them. Awful job. We abandoned the trip at Las Vegas after realising our experience of the Grand Canyon would be ruined. Instead made our own plans and avoided the 12 hour bus trip back to San Francisco by flying. Not everyone can afford these options. I would not recommend this tour company for the reasons stated.

"they dont even deserve this one star!"

Taketours.com!. they dont even deserve this one star! I took a tour with them for three days from Toronto to Montreal, I paid the fees on the website and as per the policies agreed on mandatory service fees, of $CAD 10 per days. The tour guide, Carmen Xu, forced me to take the optional tours and when I refused made really nasty, racist, derogatory comments on the first day and treated me utter hostility for the three days. The last day after paying for the mandatory fees I asked her to provide me the contact numbers to a complaint she lost her temper and threaten to throw me out of the bus. Use this company to get the taste of the lowest class of humans with no self-respect, abusive and they think it is ok to use a derogatory language with the customer because it offends the tour guide of an individuals choice of not takin the optional tours as its impacts the personal profits of the tour manner. on complain to the company they think this is professional service provided by the tour guide and we provide a feedback so we can receive our money back. they make u feel so cheap in every way, u wouldn't want to go on a holiday ever again. you have to pay mandatory service fees to be humiliated by their staff. wouldn't be unfair to say these tours are not for non-Chinese people.

"From Chinese people for Chinese tourists"

Tour is from Chinese people for Chinese people. Guide are not native English speakers and know little about European and North American history.
Very tight schedule, no real back ground information.
Lots of extra costs that are not clear beforehand.
Bad food at the few plces where thy stop (Chinese buffet, all greasy).
Not enough breaks and very cramped bus seats.

"Worst experience ever"

We joined a 11-Day Yellowstone National Park, Mt Rushmore, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, San Francisco Tour Package from Denver
Tour code: 573-2550.

We wanted to go to Grand Cyanon south rim.
When I made a reservation for tour I picked from web site to go to south rim.
I got comfirm email for sure.
But on the day, the tour guide asked us which you wanna go west rim or south rim.
We answered we wanna go to south rim.
However,he said we don't have a guide for south.
What the f⭐⭐k is this.We got comfirm email!!

And sometimes tour guide changed.
So much complicated.

Because day before that day ,our tour guide told us that the guide will change to other guide.
So we didn't know who's gonna be our guide at that day.
In the morning we were waiting at meeting point at hotel lobby.

and one guide shown up so I asked him.

He said ' I'm not your guide.who is your guide?'
I said 'I don't know.'
He said ' you don't know?Are you kidding me?'

So annoying the way he speaking.
He was so rude.

"Worst experience"

Worst experience. We opted for a 2 day Niagara falls trip from new Jersey and I would say we had the worst experience ever. Tour guide was very rude and was only bothered about collecting money. One of the best part is they left us in Buffalo hotel next morning without even having a basic courtesy to call and enquire where we are. We called the tour guide thrice and she never picked up the phone. We saw another elderly couple who were also with us were searching for the bus. When they tried calling the tour guide again, she never replied for the call. We were fully lost and frustrated. When we gave a last try she picked up the phone and asked us to take a cab and come to Niagara falls. We spent extra 40$ from our Pocket. When we reached Niagara falls, she didn't even bother to reply us. They also charge a service fee of 32$ for the tour guide and Driver that we have to pay in cash.They took us to one of the walking trails which is actually free but they charge 10$ for tht.I will never recommend this tour to anyone else.

"Our group took a day trip to …"

Our group took a day trip to Connecticut from NYC. The tour agency is Chinese and operates for Chinese people which we didn't realize when buying the tickets. The bus driver was rude and aggressive, he started yelling at us as we tried entering the bus. We were very lost as it was hard to say what he was screaming about. Later we found out he wasn't letting us on the bus with our Starbucks since they don't allow coffee cups, which was never mentioned when buying the tickets or in the text message with instructions the day before our trip. No explanation from the driver though, just straight up yelling in Chinese/English. What a great beginning of the trip!
The tour guide barely spoke any English as well, but knew how to explain how much money in cash we owe him on top of what we had already paid for the tour. $20.00 for visiting Mark Twain house which we understand. $8.00 mandatory service fee: makes no sense. $17 for Chinese buffet for lunch. To our question if we could eat something different he said they only make a stop at that buffet, which was really crappy. Overall it would have been a great trip with fun itinerary if not the terrible service and shady cash charges.

"Taketours Review"

We took a 3-Day San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Yosemite Tour from Los Angeles and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Our tour guide is Will Chen who spoke limited English but friendly. First of all, this tour is definitely not for non-Chinese speaking folks. There was a lot of conversations in Chinese on the bus. On top of that, our 3 young kids along with other kids on the tour had to put up with an R-rated movie, "The Rock" that was showing on the bus with very strong violence, constant threat, some really intense stuff, and many many "F" words thru out the entire movie. The entire tour is very much like a fire drill. You would have to spend most of your time on the bus and only get a few minutes at each destination just enough for taking pictures. We finished visiting SF around 4:30 pm on the 2nd day and was supposed to get to our hotel in Modesto around 7pm for dinner. However, we didn't get to Clarion Hotel in Modesto until past 9pm due to traffic. By the time we were done with dinner and shower, it was almost mid-night. Then they woke us up @ 5am the next morning to start our day again. The hotel accommodations were just 1-2 star motels. Last but not least, the actual cost of the tour would be a lot more including additional fees for what's called "optional tours" such as SF tour and some other tours that you're either take them or else you're basically stuck in the bus or have to wait for the other folks to finish their optional tours.

"Grand Canyon"

We did the LA to Las Vegas tour departing 20 September
Chaotic organisation, too much Chinese spoken
We booked for the Grand Canyon south RIm then we’re asked to go to Antelope Canyon because the bus was not big enough for everybody, I wonder why the two people who boarded for the South rim got priority over us? We got on the bus for West RIm and I insisted we went to the Grand Canyon as we had travelled from England to see it this despite protests from the tour guide
Good points: fine value for money and quality hotel in Vegas

"I booked a tour with them last minute( …"

I booked a tour with them last minute( 1 day before the tour), but did not receive the confirmation or Eticket. I wasn't able to login to my account and had to recreate another account which was strange. I contacted the customer support about this issue, and I was told to contact 'BIG BUS TOUR' customer support. I waited till morning, 5-6 am, but still, no confirmation, It was raining, so I thought there was no tour at all, and that is why I did not receive the confirmation, but still, they shouldn't have allowed me to book the tour for that day. i tried to contact customer service by chat, email and phone, which was a terrible experience. limited English proficiency, and no one seemed to understand what I was asking, and no one was of help. They sent me confirmation at 6 am, 1 hour before the tour would leave from the pick up point and I didn't have time to get there anymore. They refused to refund me, and I have been trying to reach out the manager, but I have not been able to. No customer service, and their website seems to be having issues with accounts or confirmations. Totally waste of time and money and peace of mind. Me and my friends wanted to go on their other tours, but will never do that anymore.

"Es la peor empresa"

Es la peor empresa! Mi viaje fue terrible, las condiciones del bus eran pauperrimas, el baño sin servicio por estar lleno de popo desde el dia anterior, las sillas no servian, el ruido del bus era terrible, las ventanas del bus escarchadas, no aprecias bien el paisaje, la guia grosera en su afan de venderte los tours mas caros que en otras empresas. Te hacen firmar un terminos y condiciones en donde dice que solo le puedes comprar los tours a ellos que tal???? La guia no te deja tomar bien las fotos, todo el tiempo afanada en irse, se llama Kity ya saben por si deciden cojer este pesimo tour a que se atienen. Y lo peor de todo es que no cumplen con el itinerario del tours, el que compramos decia que hibamos Madame Tossouds y a ellos no se le dio la gana de ir. Conclusion no pierdan su dinero ni conviertan su paseo en un dia terrible como lo fue para mi y mi esposo.
