I dealt with Rex who provided excellent Customer Service! I was buying the bike on a "Cycle to Work" scheme which had taken (what felt like ages) to get to the point where I could actually purchase, but once in contact with Rex everything was super fast and efficient - the bike was delivered within 2 days!

"Ridiculous customer service."
I purchased an e scooter 3 months ago. It has not been usable for 1 of these months due to not switching on.
I emailed about this issue and pedal and chain expect me to diagnose and repair the fault myself.
So far I have been asked to check the wiring, remove the display screen and check plugs, test the plugs for voltage, bridge plugs with wires and now to replace the controller unit.
Not once have I been asked if I'm happy to do so or have the tools or knowledge.
3 times now I have asked for a refund or replacement but have just been told they won't as they have already sent the controller to me even though I previously said not too.
I have explicitly said I don't want to replace components and the fact I have had to remove and refit various components may hinder any possible future warranty claims.
Dispute is still ongoing after almost 50 emails and various phone calls.
All of what they have done so far is illegal as it goes against the consumer rights act.
Very disappointed and frustrated....

Thanks for the reply. The fact still stands that I shouldn't be expected to replace components under warranty. Also are there any health and safety risks regarding the electrical system such as electric shock or fire risk?
If you cannot supply a replacement why can't I get a refund?

"Having received first class customer…"
Having received first class customer service at Christmas with agent James, when purchasing an E-Skateboard (which was not without teething problems on the technical side) for my son last Christmas, I am loathe to have to report that with a new issue with the board, just 6 months later, I have waited 13 days for a possible solution. The new customer service agent is inefficient, ineffectual and painfully slow in both response and resolve. Having sung Pedal and Chain's praises last Christmas, I now rate their aftercare as lamentable! Let's hope for better aftercare from the suppliers, E-movement when they take receipt of the faulty product, later this week. I did ask the agent to put me in touch with Pedal and Chain's complaints department, to no avail! I was left with no option but to post a review to warn others of Pedal and Chains failings. I am hoping for a speedy resolution to my E-Skateboard issues and hope to be in a position to post a positive review to celebrate the u-turn in their efforts!

"Honesty disgraceful customer service"
Honesty disgraceful customer service, and lost all trust in this company, bike not as described fobbed off for weeks options are be left with no bike and no money for weeks in this content time of economic crisis this company was happy to leave us stressed, depressed and with a bike that is unable to do what it was advertised, and advice James will sell you the bike then never be in contact ever again

I ordered my e-bike through Pedal and Chain, and from the first contact, I was supported throughout the whole process. I was able to speak to James to clarify the delivery details and arrange the bike to be delivered at a suitable time, he sent me the user guide (as the one with the bike was in Czech) and also supported a request regarding a minor issue with bike seat post. I felt that James really cared about ensuring I got best service possible (for an on-line order) and would thoroughly recommend any one to purchase a bike through Pedal and Chain.

Not often I write a review but when a company is this good it is deserved. Great customer service from James. Purchased an E-go Lite through cyclescheme and a seamless ordering process with super fast delivery and great communication throughout. Definitely my go to company for bikes going forwards.
