Round Lake Camp forever!
I managed 8 years at Round Lake Camp Pennsylvania heading out with the lovely Camp America. I won't sugar coat it, it's hard work and your not going to get rich BUT for me it was a life affirming journey. I was the computer guy at my camp and did my best to help teach my campers new skills and to ensure they had fun.
If 'real world' hadn't got in the way (i.e. needing a UK career) I'd still be going again next year.

Fantastic support, I had the best 2 summers in 2015 and 2016 at a camp in Maryland. I got hired at a job fair which I'd really recommend, it was a really good opportunity to to chat to lots of camps and find the right one for me!

"I wish I could go back again and again..."

I spent the best summer of my life working as a counsellor at a special needs camp in upstate New York. I was already placed at this camp and Camp America helped me get sorted with my visa. It was seamless. I didn't choose CA flights but they were super accommodating in getting me a room with the other counsellors at a hotel before all getting the coach to camp. The camp was beautiful, the kids were amazing and I wish I could go back again and again. Thank you camp america for the best time of my life. 🙏

"Demons work here!"

This camp SUCKS! A guy by the name of Jeromy (I'm not sure if I'm spelling it right), he started taking pictures of young women IN THE GIRLS BATHROOM! Creepo! At the time the girl who said that this happened to her, she was too scared to even say something. At this point, Camp America shouldn't be a "camp for kids." This place is filled with rapist, and creeps! I will NEVER COME HERE AGAIN! Besides that stuff, a girl by the name of Rachel YELLED at my friend for saying "bless you" Like what Rachel, this is why your still a camp employee not a doctor. Rachel is just as big as an ass as the owner! She made the trip so unenjoyable I cried! She's just a complete idiot. Like is that how you run a business? Yelling at people? I don't think so! I also been looking at other reviews, I came to realize that the 5 star reviews looked like an AI wrote them, and/ or a worker there! So don't try to fool us CAMP AMERICA! If you think lying to peoples face isn't enough information, than let's talk about the blood stains in the shows! Like I knew that this place is unsanitary and suicidal. People either got killed or someone got their period? I think KILLED! (It was a lot of blood!) That's all right now but I believe that this place SUCKS DONT BRING KIDS!!!!⚠️

"This place is horrible"

This place is horrible! I went here for a field trip, and it sucked! I got yelled at by the owner, for not feeling well. What a Jurk! The owner is just cranky in general. She acts like she is the boss of the WORLD! My friend cracked her head on the sidewalk and the camp employees did NOTHING (they just stood there...) The teachers did all of the work, when she got hurt. Another thing that happened was one of the camp employees (an older man) was taking pictures in the woman's bathroom. Creep! If you think this place is good your insane! Overall, the employees and the owner are just terrible. If you think of sending your kids here or for a school field trip, DON'T! I felt sick to my stomach, and I wanted to leave so badly I actually wanted to go back to school! BAD PLACE DONT COME I HOPE IT SHUTS DOWN FOREVER!

"Satanic Forces Are At Work Here"

This is THE WORST camp I've EVER been to!!! My grade and I went here for a field trip, and we had the worst experience! We did the Team Building Activities, which was supposed to bring us closer and make us all trust each other more, but no. One of my friends left here with more trust issues than they had to begin with. The camp instructors were also mean and yelled when there was no need to yell!!! They made my friend cry, and the bathrooms were also dirty, and had poop stains. In one of the stalls that I went into, I saw a red stain on the ground (I wonder what that could be...) next to some aesthetic yellow and brown stains. We were also told stories, such as the time when a camper got their foot crushed, and when a kid got smacked in the face with a wooden plank, and broke their nose so bad they had to go to the hospital. One of my classmates almost sprained their ankle falling off of a course. The whole place just gives off satanic vibes. I swear that this is the place where the next horror movie is going to be filmed! Overall, the experience was HORRIBLE, and I would NEVER EVER EVER go back here again!

"My Summer camp experience with WestRiver"

I’m glad I got the opportunity to work at West River Centre. Everyone was very helpful, the training was good, I met wonderful people, I made a few friends who were lovely, and I got to experience new things about camp. It was a helpful learning experience and an amazing time this summer.
