"If I could give negative stars I would"
If I could give negative stars I would. Wayne is the worst type of person to deal with at this company. This guy is horrible at his job along with anybody associated with this company. Do not waste your money on anything from this company. If there is a way to get my deposit I would. Started off friendly until we got passed to this guy. Stay away. We hired new movers that was smooth and efficient and they even said that the company was terrible. I wish I had this information prior to my move. I would have never did business with this trash company. Negative stars all around

"The literal worst move I have ever experienced"
Quite possibly the worst move I've ever experienced. They somehow found a no-name, poorly reviewed moving company to facilitate moving my 2bed apartment from SF to Seattle, and took nearly 4 weeks to make an 800 mile delivery (for context, a cross country move from the east coast to SF took 3 weeks).
The original $4000 quote I was given has turned into me paying nearly $15,000 to get everything, which is a ridiculous amount for an apartment move that has taken so long to wrap up. They also ignored me when I asked to not store my stuff, and shipped everything off to Nevada to put things into a storage locker, and I had to call multiple times per week to get things back on track.
Save yourself the headache, get away from this company, don't give them a penny of your money.

"Good Work!!"
These guys did fantastic work for an eviction move-out. They brought six guys to work nonstop for nearly 4.5 hours.

"If only I could give zero stars"
If I could give zero stars, I would. TRUST THE BAD REVIEWS, NOT THE GOOD ONES. THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE CLEARLY FAKE!!!! This company started out great with customer service with the initial broker. Once everything was booked, we were passed off to someone else. I have no idea what department he was in, but the customer service employee was not helpful at all. First of all, he was supposed to call a few days later to go over inventory again. Not only did he not call when he was supposed to, he didn't call after we had tried reaching out to him. When we finally got in contact with him, we tried to get confirmation on what day the truck would be coming. We spoke to this customer service employee on multiple occasions, three days in a row, with no answer to our question about ETA of the truck. We finally received a text from the driver on Saturday stating that he would be there between 3-6pm on Sunday. He was requesting we pay via cash or CashApp, which we had been told to get a cashier's check for the next installment of our cost, so we found this odd. Meanwhile, we had also looked up reviews. We now know to ALWAYS check reviews. On the day they were supposed to pick up our belongings, we had texted requesting notification when they would be an hour out so that we could make sure we were home, with no response until 3:45pm, stating that they would be there between 5:3-6. Ok. At 7, there was still no sign of the truck, so we tried calling the driver five times and it went straight to voicemail. We sent a text and they said they were on the way and the ETA was 7:40pm. We were DONE at this point, so we cancelled. Everything in our home was packed up and we had secured a place to stay in the interim and needed to get back to our dogs. On Monday, we called customer service and discussed our experience with the customer service employee. We explained the reasoning behind our cancellation and requested our deposit back. The customer service employee informed us that he would speak with his finance department and call us back within two hours. No call back. Shocking. So, when we called back, we were, of course, told that we would not be getting our deposit back, which we already knew was probably the answer, but it was worth a shot. We asked questions and rather than get answers, the customer service employee hung up on us. This brokerage is very unprofessional, and the movers they hire are less than professional as well. The communication and customer service has been difficult and less than forthcoming. I do not know how they are in business. Also, we spoke with the same customer service employee every time, and clearly he wasn’t helpful. I would like to name him, like other reviews, but this review company won’t allow me to keep his name listed in my review.

"The worst customer service I have ever…"
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They will hang up on you, yell at you or refuse to answer the phone. Would not help with the problem I had. This company is a SCAM.

"These guys are a front and a sham who don’t care who they contract with to move your things"
First person messed up his work on my inventory. Second person promised me a price for full-pack total cost over $9000 with packing only $1144. Call a week before and talk to third person. He is an hour late to the phone call because the owners bought Mexican food and he needed to eat a plate before he could talk to me. He gets snarky with me when I am frustrated that he says the price goes to $13,000. After much discussion I talk to a fourth personwho promises this the max price and he will lose money on it. He agrees that the dates on contracts will be honored. Supposed to be there between May 11 and 13. Moving company postpones 3 times and finally shows up May 14 after contract time period. Price now goes up to over $16,000. The biggest part of the price supposedly is the full-pack. Previously quoted at only less than $1200 of the total price. After two days they can’t finish packing even though I have worked with them and packed up entire rooms myself. I put stuff on the street just to get rid of it. Then one of the guys wants to know if he can use my shower because he lives in his car. Left a total mess in the house. I have photos to prove. After all that someone asked about a tip. Are you kidding me? I worked as hard as they did and no part of my contract was honored. On the other end of the move, $200 more dollars added to the price randomly. As I unpack, there is a large amount of breakage. Even the rep from the moving company admitted things were packed poorly in boxing that was not strong enough. Took almost a whole month for items to be received and then were randomly thrown in the garage with no organization. Clearly no one vetted the movers.

"DO NOT BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS"
DO NOT BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS. They have no issues scamming military members.
I was originally quoted in the $7,000 range for my move, after carefully detailing every item. I move alot, I know what I have and what size truck it fits on. However, I had just had emergency surgery, and I was told that I was being given a discount for being military.
One day prior to moving day (QA), I was told that many items weren't accounted for and that it would be $12,000 (still with "discounts"). I was for the second time assured that I was being over quoted, if anything. Expensive, but I had no time to change companies or argue. On moving day, a shady company shows up "Movers and Packers Relocation Specialists", whose listed telephone number doesn't even work. I am charged over $17,000 for them to pack my things terribly and not even take a futon, my son's bike, a grill, and MANY small items. They insist that my "properly packed" items take up 1700 cu ft and this is a fair price. My home was 1300 sq ft and my items weighed 4960 lbs. It logistically makes no sense for the cost.
They also insisted that I pay the final remaining 12k in postal money orders (which only go up to $1000). SHADY!
I have waited on hold for extended periods of time just to be hung up on. When my new husband called the agent insisted that he did not hang up on me. They do not care. You'll never speak to the same person twice after your deposit gets taken.
Please don't make my mistake, I could've replaced my whole household for 17k rather than move it from WA to TX if I wasn't so sentimental about some of the specific things packed. Unbelievable for one military mom and her kid.
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS OR MONEY.
How ironic that I have been invited to call customer service, not provided any number or email. The only number I have has already repeatedly not answered my calls, hung up on me and denied it. And additionally told me that there was no supervisor above them. I would love to have resolution, professional companies do not act like this. Just stay away.
It's hilarious that they "can't find records" for ALL of the bad reviews. What a joke. I had the pleasure of dealing with "Steve", "Wayne", and "Brian". My reference number was 4585887 if that's going to help you give me my swindled money back.

"It took me awhile to write a review"
It took me awhile to write a review, because I was upset and needed to take a breather. I am just going to post the email that was sent to them, from two different emails. They finally responded, and asked for a convenient time to call. My BF provided a time they could speak to him, and he never received a call, nor a follow up. I took pictures of all this. To start with, American Moving and Freight is a Broker, not an actual mover. They hired out to Dynamic Dynasty Moving, LLC, and the email to them, bounced back and the call to their number doesn’t go through.
You can view the email I sent below:
I am reaching Out because I have had nothing but problems so far with this move. Monday, I was called and told that the movers would be here Weds morning between 9-12. With that time confirmed, I made a hotel reservation, confirmed my day off with work, confirmed with the current landlord and the cleaning company for the landlord for scheduling.
Weds morning, I received a text at 9:16 am that due to unforeseen circumstances, they would not be arriving until Thursday. I had to change my hotel reservation, and reschedule with the cleaners, and landlord, as well as work, that I would be off Thursday.
I confirmed the time of a arrival with the movers. They said between 9-11 Thursday morning. Thursday morning I asked for an update and was informed ETA would be 10:30-11.
At 11, I requested an updated ETA. They said they were stopping to grab lunch, and would be here shortly.
At 11:45, I called for an update. They said it would be ten minutes.
They finally arrived at almost 12:30. The landlord was here waiting, along with the cleaners who were scheduled, and then had to be rescheduled.
When they arrived, they were nice, and got done by 3, which was great. They also let me know that they would be dropping off Monday at the earliest. He did give me 200 discount for the day late. However ...
My issue is this, by delivering Monday instead of Sunday, that is a Third day off work I have to take off unexpectedly. Then when the truck arrived today (delivery day) , there were 2 fishing poles, a lamp, an antique side table and a desk that were damaged.
As i opened up boxes, several knickknacks that had been bubble wrapped, were broken. Including a Winnie the Pooh train set piece, and my granny’s Antique wine bottle.
What can we do to fix this situation?
PS, I am reaching out from this email because it didn’t go through from my other inbox.
This was not part of the email, but as we unpacked, and put everything away, we realized there were boxes missing. One of which was a box of green glass that belonged to my granny.
I am updating my response here . While I appreciate the invitation to call customer service, we’ve tried that. My BF has provided his number for someone to call and talk to.

"Expect additional fees and unresponsiveness....stay away from these guys!"
If you want to feel scammed, this is the company for you. Additional fees were charged once they had your stuff because they know you’re at their mercy. Total thieves! One star is more than they deserve.
I was moving from Georgia to NY. I noted upfront that the move was to a condo and as such, a COI would be required (I sent them a template), moves were only accepted on the weekdays and no 18-wheelers would be allowed. They confirmed that none of these requirements would be an issue. I had very little to move but because there was a minimum, I received a quote for more room on the truck than I would need. I agreed to the quote, paid American Moving, selected a date and waited for the movers.
American Moving contracted with Logistics Services and once Logistics had my stuff, I received a call for additional fees that would need to be paid, specifically fees for all the items I initially discussed – COI, weekday delivery, no 18-wheelers. Logistics Services told me that American Moving should have known about all these additional costs. Logistics also charged me an additional fuel surcharge fee despite the fact that upon pickup, I was told there would be no additional costs to my estimate. I tried to call American Moving and spoke to Wayne who was unhelpful so I asked for Aaron who was the GM I initially worked with. No one ever called me back.
Also, when my items finally arrived, the movers quoted another fee to actually bring the items into the apartment. They said the front door to the apartment was too far from where they had to park. Ultimately, my husband, brother-in-law and I ended up moving all the boxes and items off the truck and into the apartment.
Horrible experience! They get you when you are vulnerable. Total bait and switch. American Moving don't care who they contract with and once you pay them, you'll never hear from them again. Stay away.
In response to your reply - It doesn't cover the other costs that were mentioned - and who's apartment in NYC is within 75 feet of the street?!?. Again, it's a bait and switch. While I could try to call your customer service (again), I'm sure no one will return my call and frankly, I don't want to waste any more time even thinking about your firm but felt the need to provide this review to warn others.

"Extremely rude employees on the phone"
Extremely rude employees on the phone. For long distance moving, we would have liked to have more than 48 hours notice on a pickup time. Customer service is rude and non-existent. When you pay thousands of dollars for a service, you should expect the red carpet.
