"I think Fluent is a scam..."

I think Fluent is a scam. I purchased a home, with the security system installed and gifted to us for a year by the prior owner. I never activated the system or intended to use their system because there are too many systems in the market that are cheaper and easier to use. Prior to the year being up, I was contacted to add my information to the contract so that they could update their records. I confirmed with the rep that I did not intend to use their system and at no point was I going to activate it. They managed to say I "signed" a contract and am now responsible for paying for a product I've never used. I urge anyone to stay far, far away from Fluent, they are not a reputable company and they have questionable business practices.

"SCAM SCAM SCAM..."

SCAM SCAM SCAM
SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!
Stay as far away from this company as possible. Canceled service but kept charging for the service. Talked to their representatives many times and paid final bill three times but they still kept billing. A bad case of elderly abuse. My father sold his house in which they were notified but they kept billing. 
He died in February in which they were notified and now it’s July and they keep on billing. We are beyond losing our patience with Fluent and their unscrupulous attempts to take advantage of the elderly. 
Stay far away from this company. 
Fluent is a scam
Received another bill 11/12/22. At this point, every time I get a bill, I leave bad reviews. Multiple places.

"Contract provisions for renewal..."

I have read many reviews posted here. I would tend to agree with them. My experience is not a positive one regarding their contract. I would in all sincerity recommend not using this company and not signing any contract with them.

"Beware of this company..."

My mother suffered a stroke last spring and we sold her house. I had no idea she signed with this company but when I saw the letter regarding “ invalid” phone number I thought that this would be an easy fix- (she is now incapacitated in a care home and we no longer have the house)…not the case. I called the “customer loyalty centre” and was offered $5 off a month and a waived missed pmt, and could continue to pay until July 2023?! Or pay 80% of remaining contract now and have it end. Not suitable options since we have not been using the service since June 2022.
The call centre person was decent but I have to say I could hear others yelling at clients in the background-telling them they were being bullies and harassing them- it was very strange and completely unprofessional. I am extremely disgusted at this whole process and will share my experiences with friends, family and social media. You should do better Fluent. I am willing to give a you a chance.

"This company is awful..."

This company is awful. I served 23 years in the military and have traveled all over the world. I have never seen customer service this horrible. I have been waiting for them to finish installing a camera on my wall since August. They don't use their own technicians, so if you need assistance, they cannot tell you when it will be taken care of. They offered to not charge me for two months and tell me I need to be patient.

As a veteran and someone who normally doesn't write reviews, I am warning you, do business w/ these folks at your own risk.

"Never felt safe with this system..."

Constantly had false alarms. Customer support was horrible. Took us months to cancel the contract. Their team never came to remove the device but told us not to tamper with it lest we incur a damaged equipment fee. Low battery alarms and non function alarms began to go off every 5 minutes day and night. Tried to get customer support. Literally was on hold for 70 minutes on two separate occasions before I just ripped the unit out of the wall. Horrible company and I never felt any safer with the system in place.

"I feel sorry for any person using this…..."

I feel sorry for any person using this company, they have the worst customer services you can imagine
I have been requesting cancellation for long time and they just replied with a phone call that the contract renewed automatically.
Their hidden tactic once you are enrolled they get sign contract for two years then the stop answering your call close to the due date of renewal till they renewed automatically then answer your call and saying it is renewed automatically
I have noticed a comment from the company that they will reach out to me but that never happened so far instead I was sent the renewed contract and it been like this since 2014

"Fluent has been a very horrific company to deal with...."

Fluent has been a very terrible experience. We have had multiple issues with our system and they often wanted to charged us When their equipment wasn't working.. I paid for 6 months only to find out I had no working service. After the death of my father they were alerted and continued to give me the run around. They offered to transfer his account to my name (which in CO a company can not terminate an account due to death if the account is in good standing and paid), but it wasn't a transfer it was going to set up a whole new account and me have to purchase everything new. Be weary of a company who doesn't recall or known what and where they installed items. They've repeatedly told me they didn't install pieces of the system yet I was present in the residence when it was installed.

They want your money but really show little care for your protection.

"My alarm stopped working on March of…March 2020..."

My alarm stopped working on March of 2020. Phoned, emailed company to tell them and no response. Emailed to tell them we will terminate the contract because they are not full filing their part if the deal and no response. They do keep sending a bill. I told them we will go to court for this because I have all the Evidence that we have not had a working alarm for almost two years. No response again. Worst company

"Graham Wood you absolutely Suck!..."

I don’t understand how this company is still up and running. Pi$$ poor everything!! If I ever see them walking door to door I will gladly follow up and tell homeowners to not sign with up with them. We were lied to, the equipment is outdated and junk, and the cameras are always going offline. If you are reading this I advise anyone/everyone to just buy cameras off Amazon or ANYONE else other then these frauds. From the second I was approached the salesman was full of lies. He told us that equipment is 10 bucks a month, and monitoring was 30 a month. He also said, that the equipment was through them. This is where I started to ask more questions and he assured me that no line of credit would be opened since it’s though them. Started to sign up and he mentioned needing my social, I told him I wasn’t okay with that. And he followed up with it’s for their systems and since my name is going on the account. He also told me we should put my wife’s name on the account so she could also have full access to everything. Again wasn't comfortable doing it but once again to my face told us that it was just for their records and our accounts for them. So 4 days we get notifications both her and my social was ran for a credit check. I get mail from Fortiva, fortiva is the company fluent uses to lease equipment. They were telling us thank you for opening a line with them. Also fluent had locked me down to a 5 year contract. So after receiving all this I contacted them immediately and they told me I had 48hpurs to cancel but sense it’s past 48 hours I was locked down to them. I reported them to the BBB and finally got a call back from a supervisor. Basically telling me they did nothing wrong and I couldn’t get out a contract with them unless I paid for 5 years worth of monitoring. Reading the report from the BBB after filling the salesman lied i his statement left and right. Graham wood your company is disgusting.
