"I am astounded that this company has…"

I am astounded that this company has not been investigated for it's fraudulent contracting for their services. The BBB seems to have done nothing in regards to Fluent's abuse of those poor customers who were suckered into these ironclad contracts that can never be cancelled no matter what efforts are attempted to do so. We have been attempting to cancel are supposedly completed contract for at least 6 months. Super long holds with abusive, too bad for you responses, signed cancelation letters via email were delivered and recieved. Still, no final promised communications recognizing our cancellation requests. The more delays they can impose on you the more payments they can bill to you. Is this a scam to milk it's remaining customers as much as possible before folding into legally protected bankruptcy? I don't know but these contract cancellation practices are so out of norms from industry customer relation practices that it's hard not speculate such a scenario.
The bottom line for others thinking about using this company's services is "don't".

Addendum: BBB, please review the Trustpilot website with their huge number of complaints in regards to Fluent's contracting practices. I believe that the number of complaints seen there and here at the BBB are just the tip of the iceberg for a malpractice that needs to be investigated thoroughly and and quickly. "The customer service is non-existent"

The customer service is non-existent. I moved from one city within the state to another which Fluent covers state wide. I called customer service twice trying to get a service technician to remove my equipment and was referred twice to the service scheduling, to which I received not a call back, I removed what equipment I could but had to leave a lot of equipment including my front door lock. I asked customer service to cancel my account of which had some months remaining. After negotiations I was told that "legally" they could only offer me a 20% discount. I am sure that is pure nonsense and total B.S. Don't do any business with this company as I am sure you will get rear-ended should need anything more than to pay you bill on time!

"Utterly Unprofessional Company…"

This is the most unprofessional company I've ever seen in my life. I've been trying to cancel my service for two months, and they continue to avoid it. Each time we've called, they have told us someone would call back. Nobody ever did. Four times we've tried now. Now they're saying we need to write a letter. None of this is in their contract.

Our service has been abysmal. Out of the doorbell camera, smoke detector, door detectors, and motion sensor, only the sensor is still working after 5 years, and they tell me there's no tech support in my area to replace them... so if i can't fix it myself, too bad.

The only upside is that we've been documenting everything to take to our lawyer and the BBB

I strongly encourage people to avoid signing up with this company. It's not worth the headache.

"Shortly after becoming a customer I…"

Shortly after becoming a customer I started having equipment problems. The alarm would not shut off upstairs fire alarms and security alarm wouldn't shut off. I requested to close my account and spoke to over 15 people. Nobody knows what they are doing. They don't care about their customers. I tried to get them to fix equipment but they instead expected me to fix it via phone call. I could not reach fire alarm or operate wall panel except to enter the code

"Fluent Home Security is the worst security company out there. Do not sign a contract with them."

Everything was uneventful for me until I wanted to cancel my account. Now I never had a contract as I was month to month so there should have been no issue. I was a normal customer with preauthorized payments for a 3 year contract so you think they would be good to me right? WRong. I sent them emails in September stating I wanted to cancel, but in all fairness I never followed their protocol. Once I found out their protocol, I sent them an official cancellation letter on November 9th/2021. Since then I have had two more payments come out of my account, with the recent one, just one hour ago. I have sent them numerous emails, and calls but all to no avail. This company needs to pay for their crimes. Their customer service is horrible, terrible, crap, below well below average, at the bottom of the heap of companies. Do not go with this company. This is an honest review and I am at my wit's end and don't know what to do.

Don't ever sign a contract with Fluent. You'll end up with an endless contract which only an act of God will solve. Don't know why they are so unfeeling toward customers. NOBODY should act hte way Fluent does business. So uncaring.Stay away from this company!!!!!

Worst company to deal with. Totally conned into a 5yr contract and the equipment always breaks and no one knows how to fix it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

"Scam artists"

Scam artists. Multiple customers with the same problems. Completed contracts and Fluent not allowing customers to cancel, automatically renewing them for 2 more years and continuing to charge for an unwanted service. Fluent will not work with the customer to cancel their account, very little communication with no advice or action.
