After looking around a lot of places (including Turkey) for a good and trustworthy hair transplant clinic, I was recommended the Hair Dr by a family friend. I decided to go with the Hair Dr because the look on the family friend was so natural and looked really well done.
Easy booking with a video call consultation (as I live far from the clinic) and lots of great communication through WhatsApp, I asked a lot of questions and they were promptly answered with lots of helpful information.
Arrived at 7:30 on the day of the procedure and was greeted by Adam who helped calm my nerves and chatted to me answering more questions. Then a friendly meeting with Dr Arshad to discuss the hairline placement and some photos taken and discuss the procedure to answer any more questions. Then it time to shave my head and then taken to my “pod” where I had a personal space, with snacks and drinks supplied with a private bathroom and then straight into extraction. I was really nervous about the anaesthetic injections but they were not too bad and Daisy administered them really gently with minimal pain. Extraction was good removing 4,000 grafts with a break half way. Then lunch I was given a lovely sandwich and some more snacks and drinks. After lunch it was time to make the channels and Dr Arshad was really thorough here and covered all the areas we discussed really well. Then another break before insertion of the grafts. This was really pleasant and everyone very friendly and chatty, had the radio on and felt really relaxed and at ease. Very professional and friendly and the after care information was amazing and they gave a goody bag with all the medication and further info on how to care for the hair afterwards.
Overall it was a great experience, I was really nervous to begin with and by the end I had a big smile on my face and was in minimal pain. If you want a top quality transplant with a friendly and professional team, this is definitely the place to go! Thank you to the whole team for making it such a smooth and enjoyable day

For my hair transplant, I required 4000 grafts, as I was receding around my crown area and hairline. There were a number of things that made my overall experience great, these included:
1. Initial consultation: Dr Hamza was very knowledgeable and friendly, thoroughly explained the procedure, his previous experiences and the aftercare. Following this, he had a look at my follicles in the donor area to determine if the follicles would be viable and allow for a good result. After, I showed him a couple of pictures of my hair prior to it receding and he drew out what my hairline would be following the procedure. He was receptive to modifications when it came to what areas I wanted to be more dense or the hairline shape. Once the session is over, all information relating to the surgery and aftercare are sent to you via email so you can make an informed decision.
2. The procedure: Prior to the procedure, Dr Hamza walked me through what the agenda of the day was and then mapped out the areas where the grafts would be placed / hairline and ensured I was happy with the plan of action. The procedure itself was pain free outside of the initial anesthetic injections. Dr Hamza takes the follicles from the donor area and also created the slits where the follicles will be inserted. Through both of these stages, Dr Hamza's bedside manner was very good and made sure I was not in pain. Following lunch, the follicles were inserted by Dr Hamza's assistants (3), who also had great bedside manner and ensured I was not in discomfort. During this part of the procedure, you're able to watch netflix / listen to an audiobook so the time goes quickly.
3. Aftercare: Following the surgery, Dr Hamza explains step by steps what aftercare is required to ensure the best results. This was very thorough and the information was also provided in written format including a timeline for the first 7 days on what pills are required and when - exceptionally helpful. As the clinic operates via Whatsapp it means that you can ask them any questions you have following the surgery, easily send pictures and have video calls which makes the process a lot easier and personal - you often get a reply within the hour.

Overall Dr Hamza provide knowledge and guidance which made me feel very comfortable going ahead with the procedure. All aspects of the procedure were great and although its only been two weeks, there is hair on my head in places in wasn't before - so a success so far! I would highly (and have!) recommend anyone thinking about getting a hair transplant to visit the Dr Hair Clinic.
