"Do not use this company if you want a decent job doing or a guarantee that is worth anything. We have been messed around by this company so many times trying to get them to fix the problems they cause"

The two fitters were polite and got on with the job of fitting gutters, fascia’s and soffits. First sign of rain and that’s where things went down hill. The guttering leaked and it sounded like we had a waterfall outside. Contacted the office and explained the problem, engineered turned up in the dark to be told I can’t do it now as I can’t see to repair it. He came back the following week and told us he had repaired it, apparently a bit of rubble had fallen into it causing it to flow over. We thought great… then we had rain again and guess what Niagra falls was still going strong, we videoed it and sent it to them to show them the problem. Another phone call and told an engineer would come out. The day arrived but no sign of the engineer, called them to be told it wasn’t booked in so another appointment has been made, won’t come out on a Saturday so got to wait till Monday. Told them I need prove that they have been and solved the problem, to be told they will do a water test and video it and send it to us to show they have solved the problem. I wouldn’t recommend the after care service at all.

"Still draughty"

Despite remedial work being booked in for monday 9th Dec and an agreement that they would bring the cold spot identifier gun they use to demonstrate any cold spots at point of sale . I've now been told nothing was booked in and denied they even use these devices One of the managers Simon took the moral high ground when I said he was a lying I have proven and provided him with written testimony by the sales rep that AWR provided and instructed them to demonstrate cold spots to customer as part of there sales patter. I want them to stand by their own practice and bring a device to show to me that they are leaving me with air tight windows as promised as the current tilt and turns they installed in sept are extremely draughty. No appology to me for yet more inconvenience. The house is so cold due to the high winds and the draughts that I would need the heating on 24/7 which I cannot afford to do. Beyond frustrating and facing more delays.
Update 24th Jan 2024. Sashes replaced as you confirmed they were measured incorrectly. However problems persist.
Nobody is taking charge of the situation. I've had 19 visits , it's clearly a design fault -I've sent videos to your complaints email , please can somebody in authority, willing and able to solve this issue. I do not want draughty windows.

"Rude and Pushy"

I got a quote a year or so ago. I then told them the job was on hold due to me working away. They rang me at least twice a month even though I told them it was on hold and I would contact them when I'm ready to go forward. I was 100% genuinely going to use them once it was going ahead but today they call and I nicely told them it was still on hold and I don't need a quote, but the salesman was asking why I can't have someone come around to give me a quote. Very pushy and rude. So I finally told them to not call again and will not be using them ever. I am a business owner myself and would never be as pushy as they are.

"Constant cold calls"

Got work done on my house, which was great but these guys never stop calling. I get a call approx once a week from different numbers or even private numbers, I've asked them countless times to stop calling and take me off their data base but I either get a rude comment back, or just have the phone put down before I can politely ask them to stop calling. I get it's probably not them calling, but just be aware they may outsource your information to call centres.

"Terrrible First Experience Wish I'd Came Here First "

Had a door fitted on Friday, now Three days later I am trying to get hold of them to fix faults and things that were not installed.

Imagine my surprise that they sent someone out to tap me up for more sales this morning.

Told him my issues, and he agreed with them, and proceeded to tell me to keep trying to get hold of them.

Firstly, the door has a draught, the point of replacing our original door was to prevent this. Then the door is missing the sill on the outside, so this weekend's rain has been coming in. And we also have a loose handle on the inside of the door.

When Marcus came and did the hard sell on us, we were told that they dealt with "Yale" exclusively, so imagine our surprise to be handed Ultion Keys which are a nightmare and a cost to get extras of.

We were also told that we would be able to see what we thought for the first 24 hours and make sure we were happy with everything before the final payment. Nope the lads they sent to fit the door wanted payment there and then which led to loads of hassle of paying by card not our original bank transfer as agreed.

Although if looking at a chargeback, that may have helped us out.

All in all, lies, bad fittings and lack of customer service means a one-star review and making sure that everyone else is warned not to go-to AWR.

UPDATE: 26/11/2024 The people that were "coming out to look today" are now due 27/11/2024, looks like the reviews about aftercare are right. We will see what tomorrow brings.

The product is well fitted and looks amazing. The guys who fitted it were hard working and cleared away any debris that was left over from the job. They were also really polite and friendly.
