We thought we were buying rather Rolls Royce of prams - turns out it is not

The iCandy Peach 7 looks very nice, and we were sure we were buying a high quality product (for a high price) - a Rolls Royce of prams. Turns out it has several design flaws plus an inadequate and very disappointing customer and repair service.

We bought the gondola + pushchair + accessories bundle for a hefty price from Mamas & Papas.

The design flaws in gondola set up (we have not tried the pushchair yet:
It says the Peach 7 is all terrain - however even the smallest unevenness in the surfaces makes it shake A LOT. So much so we only took our newborn on tarmacked pavements for two months
Every time the pram hood is put up or down the whole gondola moves- it wakes up the baby
The gondola cover not only has a very stiff and difficult zip - it only unzips one way so putting baby in and out is very tricky and we end up having to remove the cover each time. Two zips meeting in the middle to fold it out over the handle would be much better
The accessories- one bracket for cup or parasol is not good enough for a pram of this price - we had to buy a second one to be able to change the parasol position quickly when on a walk to shield the baby from the sun
The changing bag- way too small and tricky to use. Nothing can be accessed quickly as no zip pockets are on it and you have to open the bag fully to get out a muslin or bib. Also it does not fit on the pram with the gondola unless the handle is set on the highest position.
The screen - for protection from flies etc was black in colour. Frankly useless in the summer as it made the pram hotter when out among in the sun! A £3 pram mosquito net bought online was by far better and it could be used with the hood down.


And last but not least an issue, which made us contact customer service who sent us to retailer, who then dealt with customer service and repairs again…

The extension mechanism on the handle is leaking grease. The bolts are covered in it. It took me a while to figure out why my hands were covered in black grease every time I handled the pram to put it in/ out of the car or grabbed the side of the handle when tending to baby. Not what you want when you are tending to a newborn!!
The repairs department wanted us to send the pram back for inspection and repair of unknown duration. After a few discussions it was clarified they only want the chassis but no temporary replacement chassis was offered when we asked. Mamas & Paps could maybe, depending on availability, offer one of their prams temporarily. This to me was not acceptable.
By that point the pram was in use every single day, our baby napped in it at home and was used to it. Not to offer a temporary chassis replacement for repair duration was incredibly disappointing.

In summary - were we to buy a pram system again - we would not choose the iCandy.

"Poor customer service "

I purchased an ICandy pram this year ready for my baby who was born in May. We have had issues with one of the wheels on the pram so I followed the process and filled in the form sent to me by Mamas and Papas. It has now been 15 days and I have chased it up with Mamas and Papas twice who keep apologising to me but say they are waiting for icandy to get back to them. I feel disappointed that we invested in an Icandy pram due to the warranty and cannot get the issue resolved. Obviously having a 3 month old baby we rely on our pram for daily use.

"Disappointed with quality"

Was gifted the icandy peach changing bag coming up to 6 weeks now. It's a nice bag, slightly awkward at first but once used to it, it's very practical but I have to say I'm disappointed with the quality of the changing mat, it is already starting to bubble (the plastic coating) and will inevitably break and be unusable. Which for the cost of the bag and the length of time I've had it is very disappointing.
If I could add a photo I would as its that bad.

Absolutely over the moon with my purchase from Icandy, I have gone for the Peach 7 complete bundle in Ivy and I cannot wait to use it for my new born who is due in December. I looked at many other brands, but nothing compares to Icandy!

"iCandy Orange 4 bundle"

Ordered the iCandy Orange 4 bundle including car seat and isofix, we are so pleased with our choice. The pram itself is lightweight, really smooth to push and looks great (the storage basket underneath is huge which is an added bonus!). Customer service has been amazing and we received our pram in only a couple of days from ordering. This is my second iCandy pram now and will always be my number 1 choice.

We ordered the Peach 7 ( coco colour ). Beautiful chrome finish to frame, all accessories included. After trying all other big brand systems we settled with this as the quality of the product was far superior, durable and not too bulky/heavy, easily packed away for car journeys and biggest selling point-easily adaptable for any future babies!
