AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!!! We had a workman's comp policy with Cerity for 2 years. No complaints as long as we had a policy with this company, but after two years with no claim, they randomly doubled the insurance rate. When we decided to switch away from Cerity to another company, they turned nasty! They started a retaliatory audit within weeks of us switching to a different insurance company. We provided all the necessary paperwork for the audit, but they still tried to fraudulently claim we owed over $22,000!! This company is utterly despicable, and we will be filing a formal complaint with the Pennsylvania insurance department.

"If I could rate 0 stars I would"
If I could rate 0 stars I would. This company is an ABSOLUTE SCAM!!! Without warning, we had no access to an online portal to make payments. The letters we received in the mail were absolutely deceiving in saying “Thank you for your payment” making it appear as if payments were still going through. And then, we get a bill for a few thousand dollars without an invoice. Tried to call to inquire, it took over a week to get the actual invoice outlining what payments were made when. And then without warning our policy was canceled. I find this out after calling TWICE to get confirmation of our policy number and after filing a claim!!!! How can a company manage their policies this way?? Leaving our company exposed and at risk without warning?????

"The company changed their portal"
The company changed their portal, at which time all accounts being drafted needed to send payment via paper check. Unfortunately we were not informed of this until we received a cancellation notice in the mail. We called the office, found out the new (inconvenient) protocol and mailed the checks. Had to call to add a COI and was told that both our policies were canceled for non-payment. When we asked where the payments went that went sent (and cashed), they said they were applied. WHAT?? Makes no sense. Of course they also refused to refund the money until after the yearly audit. We've used them for years, no claims and this is the treatment we get. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

"Terrible Transition to New System"
The company changed their portal. Because they are apparently terrible at software development, existing policies can't use their new portal to make payments or check documents. Instead you have to wait until your renewal period to be able to use their new portal.
Because my policy doesn't renew until June, I will have to wait 6 months. Which means I will have to write and mail a check every month until my renewal period and call and get documents manually sent to me if need be. Huge inconvenience.
Don't waste your time with this company. Go find insurance some place else at a place that actually know how to actually take care of their customers.
