"Topaz taps - Not fit for purpose!"

I purchased new Topaz basin and bath taps in March 2023 and had them fitted professionally. I have a gravity hot water system, so expected the hot taps to have a slow flow rate, which is fine. The cold taps however, have a random, uneven flow and splash everywhere. My cold water pressure is circa 1.6 bar, which is about normal in the UK and nothing unusual, but when I complain via the Retailer, they receive a response from Hudson Reed which in effect says it is a fault of the water pressure as the taps do not have any straightening device. How can they sell taps to the UK market, which clearly are not fit for purpose???

"Bought and fitted an expensive floor…"

Bought and fitted an expensive floor standing HR bath tap mixer for my roll top bath. The temperature mechanism tightened and failed within 18 months of the purchase and if that wasn’t irritating enough HR completely ignored my email asking for some advice on serviceable parts available to fix it.
I am a bathroom fitter by trade and that’s the last time I will be fitting anything firm Hudson Reed.

"You'll never be able to fix one of these..."

I bought a Hudson Reed Shower panel (tower shower), it cost in the region of £800. It has hardly been used (guest en suite) and the response from HR is the most unhelpful and basic I have ever seen from a so called premium brand. I have a part number, told it is discontinued and cannot find it anywhere. I have had way more luck getting parts for my 20 year old Hotpoint extractor fan. To make the matter worse, the thermostatic cartridge that needs to be replaced, is impossible to get out despite having 3 professionals try it. So, my only option for a so called, premium brand that has minimally used, is to replace the whole thing. Never again, do not buy.

"Faulty shower divertor"

Bought a £600 shower from the shower brand Hudson, 25 days later after installing the shower. The valve divertor is leaking. Quite unbelievable really and expected more from a quality perspective due to the high costs involved in purchasing this product. I now have to go through the faulty claims process, fantastic.

"Do Not buy this brand !!! …"

Bought 2 wall hanging tall units along with the sink unit cost me over £1000 and in a matter of weeks around the edges on the doors and the sides started to swell. The bathroom is well ventilated with a large window and a powerful fan as well.
Now after a year all the units look appalling and we are going to throw them away and redo the bathroom. My sister bought the bathroom units from ikea and 2 years after look brand new and less then half the price of these.
These are not units for bathrooms so make sure do not buy this crap expensive brand. If the review allowed me to attach pictures i would have gladly done.

"Very poor response"

I was having problems with a Hudson Reed Mixer Tap and needed some advice and replacement parts. Sent e-mails to both Sales and Technical departments which have been totally ignored. Very poor service and response.

Thanks for the reply to my review.
However, you do not give an e-mail address on your web site. There is only a contact form.
To contact you by e-mail I had to fill in the contact form on two separate occasions, one to Technical and the other to Sales. On both occasions it was confirmed that my details had been successfully received.

"Outstanding customer service"

We purchased a Hudson reed push button shower which is amazing by the way. It created a fault where it was passing hot water. The company who supplied it went into liquidation. Called Debora at Hudson Reed customer services & had a first class response. Resolved the problem, new part on the way and posted out today. Outstanding customer service. I own a property business and this type of servicej makes a huge difference, definitely recommend. Thanks

Je voudrais dire que je suis très satisfait des deux radiateurs achetés chez Hudson Reed très beaux et de belle qualité. Je veux remercier le service après-vente très réactif et à l'écoute en cas de problème. Suite à un souci avec les thermostats, il ont très vite trouver une solution à celui-ci, ils sont vraiment efficaces et font tout pour satisfaire leurs clients. Merci Hudson Reed

"7 year old tap replaced - no fuss!"

I purchased an Eon Mono sink mixer KA 307 on 19th December 2015 from Victorian Plumbing.

The tap worked well until it failed last Friday. I was aware I had a 10 year guarantee and looked at Victorian Plumbing’s online help pages and raised a support ticket.

Bethany Jo Carter on their resolutions team was very quick to reply (within 2 hours) to say she would contact yourselves to escalate the matter.

To my surprise, I received a further email at 8:32 am the next day (Saturday morning!) to advise me that you were going to send a replacement out to me.
The replacement tap has arrived safely.
I am absolutely thrilled with the astonishing service received from both Victorian Plumbing and yourselves – you are both to be commended for your excellent customer service.
