I have used world nomads a few times now, but mainly on my gap year. What stands out is most insurance companies require you to have a “journey” (trip incl return), whereas I did not, but world nomads will still cover you. Affordable prices, reassuring & easy to read policy. Have recommended to friends & family for their adventures.

I have been using World Nomads for several years now and while thankfully, I have never had a reason to make a claim, I have found their customer service in relation to purchasing coverage excellent. With short descriptions of each item, the website makes it easy to decide the level of coverage you want, however, the full policy details are available if you need more information. After a few easy clicks, you can purchase a policy and should you need to contact them, I've found their agents very responsive to my queries. I wish the cost of policies were more affordable, however.
