"Easy to sign up."
It was easy to sign up for the insurance. I won't know what the experience would be when it is time to avail it. I hope never have to avail the insurance assistance.

"World Nomads cover was very easy to…"
World Nomads cover was very easy to negotiate online.
My travel insurance with another company, was due to expire while I was overseas. As I had changed my tickets to come home, I needed a little more cover.
Great service. Thankyou.

"Considerable savings on travel insurance premiums"
World Nomads’ travel insurance premium was considerably lower than the quotes I got from Canadian insurance companies. Perhaps it’s because WN asks you to specify which countries you’re going to, so in my case they knew I wasn’t going to the United States.

"Slow customer support for account issues"
Bad experience, slow reply from customer service.
I had contacted them because I did not receive the details of the policy after paying 300 Euros. After 2 days, there is still don't have access to the policy. Low confidence on them after this, I am concerned on how efficient the claim process would be.
I got it resolved shortly after writing this.

"Horrible! Just Scammers"
This is my honest personal experience. TLDR: WorldNomad/TripMate are scammers!
Before you book your next trip, if you wonder from all the internet search that World Nomad is the best insurance for your carry-on/checked bag delays/loss, you're absolutely wrong.
I had a beyond horrible experience with TripMate (Travel insurance for World Nomad). I flew with Avianca/United Airlines from Santiago (Chile) on Aug 12, 2024 to Chicago. Avianca did not load my checked bag on the carrier at Santiago, which caused a bag delay. I filed a report with United Airlines regarding the same and United Airline's initial tracking confirmed that the bag was left behind. I filed a delayed bag report with TripMate immediately after I got a report from United Airlines. Claims specialist from TripMate denied my claim stating the Airlines delivered the bag successfully to the airport but United Airlines website clearly says otherwise. After a month of intense searching, United Airlines declared my bag as lost and gave me an email report which I could use it for insurance. I called TripMate, explained the situation, provided them the statement airlines provided me, and requested them to process the claim as a lost bag. It's been 45 days since I filed lost bag report, despite multiple calls to process my claim, they are completely ignoring my claim and dodging my requests deliberately. The support is terrible. One of the support representatives even said TripMate does not cover lost bag. Are you kidding me? Literally, that's the selling point of WorldNomad is to cover the lost bags. I am extremely frustrated and exhausted with all the calls and requests to process my claim. I can finally conclude that TripMate and WorldNomad are scammers. They cover nothing. What a waste of time and money.
Better check with your renters insurance or try other companies for better luck. I learnt my lesson. I have been counting on WorldNomad for years and this is what they did to me.
