Unfortunately you can't rate lower than a 1 star as I would. My son and his friends moved into his second year Uni house accommodation 2 weeks ago. On arrival we were absolutely disgusted with the cleanliness of the house. Myself and one of the other mums spent hours cleaning the kitchen and one of the bathrooms which were covered in grease and grime. The other bathroom we were not willing to even touch as it was horrendous. The property had been empty for at least 8 weeks and should have been clean. In the kitchen there was food remnants in the cupboards, leaking sink, dirty cupboards, thick grease on the worktops, missing appliances. There were numerous safety issues faulty smoke alarm, windows locked and no key to unlock them, the front door main entrance didn't comply with fire regulations and many more things. The Wi-Fi was included in their bills but was not set up. A new router was required and then when looking at the outside of the property the wires had been disconnected/cut leaving them without Wi-Fi for over a week. They have had to purchase many items themselves that should have been provided due to the state of the property. They have constantly been in contact about all the issues but everything is taking so long to get sorted. Then to top it off we had a phone call to say water was flooding into the bathroom through the extractor fan and then there was a flood in the utility room with water coming in through the ceiling that has been reported as leaking 2 weeks ago. The electrics have water running over them and are dangerous. I could not mention all the problems as it would take far too long. A very disappointed parent. This is a stressful time for parents when your young adult goes to Uni but having all these issues makes it so much worse. You trust these companies to make sure the properties are safe and they don't keep to the agreement. We have also been informed that many of the reviews are by the landlords not the tenants how true this is we don't know.

Extremely unprofessional and disappointing Letting Agency, we recently moved into our second year house to find it unclean, unsafe and without the basics we were told we would have. We had trusted this agency to provide us with a service we have paid for since May this year and have been completely let down and disappointed, if you are considering using this agency next year for housing please reconsider your options before signing anything.
Within the last 2 weeks we have been left with an unclean house, covered in dust, cobwebs and grease with multiple leaks and no wifi for our first week living here, costing us even more with data bills. Our utility room has been flooded with water making it completely unusable leaving 4 of us without a washing machine and fridge due to the flood on the floor, and since the agency does not operate on weekends we have no option but to live like this until it is fixed probably not anytime soon considering how long everything has taken.
I wish I could have left a more positive review but due to how we have been treated by this agency and our landlord and the state out house has been left in I do not have anything positive to say about them.

I needed a place and contacted First 4 Lettings for a shared apartment I had seen online. At first they were all nice and helpful up until I paid the holding deposit. I provided all they requested showing I could afford the rent. Got the type of guarantor they requested. I went through the weblinks they sent, and no where was it clearly written that verification of my guarantor's proof of employment is only done by contacting their HR (from my experience, offer letters, payslips, bank statements are proofs). My guarantor wasn't happy with anyone contacting their HR after providing the other documents they requested. I then offered to pay some months rent upfront just so I don't lose my deposit but the agent refused. I explained my guarantor's reservation and was assured by the same agent on the phone that it won't be an issue, only for the narrative to change the very next morning when the agent told me they've sent an email to my guarantor's HR without either of our consent, the agent was also pretty rude to both me and my guarantor on the phone insinuating I was blind and couldn't understand that proof of employment meant contacting HR despite providing payslips and bank statements (nevermind my employer and landlord had already been contacted for a reference which they happily obliged). The agent was also happy to tell me people who earn 3 times my salary also go through the same process. I appreciate companies have their policies. What I do not appreciate is when you get the definition of the policy after parting away with money you would never get back. If there was any option less than a 1 star, that's what I would have gone for.

I would definitely recommend First 4 letting, finding me tenants was the best experience I have had after a long time, the team kept me inform throughout the process and the new tenants seem the right people for the property . I would like to say a big thank you to Declan and the team.
