"Wires Blocked per Policy"

Deposited funds from the sale of a house over a year ago. All was fine until I tried to wire 1/4 of the funds to escrow for a purchase. Since I changed phone carriers (no number change) I have been blocked from wire transfers for 6 mos. Not a mistake... this is policy per customer service. I can use the phone to call in, access records, and do other transfers, but all wires are blocked and there is no recourse... so I will close the account.

"Don't do CD with them or you will…"

Don't do CD with them or you will regret. it is not worth the trouble at all.
- Their early withdraw penalty is a lot more than other banks (ex. Ally)
- You cannot schedule to close CD account, but need to wait till the matured day (with only 10 grace period day offered)
- Even on the matured day, you cannot manage it on the website, but need to wait one more day or make the call which took long time

The only good thing is that finally I get what I want through the call, and this call took me half hour to complete...

"I do not have an account there because…"

I do not have an account there because I read other reviews; I use American Express for some savings, and they let you receive money in about 48 hours and pay good percentage rates. I tried two other lessor known named online savings accounts and they sucxed too. But my fav place to get good interest is a local Credit Union in my town called Spero Credit Union in Greenville, SC. Dear First Citizens Bank Apple Financial Team,

I wanted to express my concern and disappointment regarding the discrimination my business, IT A MOVE IN REALITY CORP, has encountered in the equipment finance approval process. Our company focuses on social media influencer growth and development.

After a successful credit check, we were initially approved for equipment financing for our business. However, we have recently been informed that Apple is questioning the legitimacy of our business. This accusation is both baseless and disappointing, considering the support documentation we have provided and our listing on the Illinois Secretary of State business database, where our business status is listed as in good standing.

I want to emphasize that these allegations are not only false but also unfair. Such treatment hinders our growth and contradicts the principles of fair practice that we expect from a reputable financial institution.

I kindly request a thorough review and prompt resolution of this matter. Our goal is to expand and excel in our industry, and we look forward to your support rather than unjust hindrance.

Thank you for making a decision based of race. You’re claims that you’re origination team was not able to validate my business was false. This was clearly racially motivated. If I was white I wouldn’t have a issue but because I am a African male applying it’s no we can’t verify your business which is false. My business is in good standing with Illinois Secretary of State! Don’t worry Eric I know how you use your name with the BBB and report this type of racial discrimination!

"Excellent Customer Service"

I had to wire $ from CIT, Had never wired $ before. It was very easy, good instructions. I was really worried about it after I did it, I called CIT and a customer service named Pat was so helpful, explained to me that there were step to wiring. He knew I was very worried so he told me he would keep an eye on it and call me when he saw movement. He actually called me back to ease my stress when he saw the money come out. I really appreciated the extra step he took for me. Thank you Pat and CIT Bak

"It would be a better bank if they gave some updates"

This is your average online bank. There are many pros like high interests and very nice customer support. The only problem would be the lack of updates about my account when they are reviewing your account. Overall it's very good bank as long as you don't run into any account problems.

"Good luck wiring YOUR $ if you need to"

Good luck wiring your $ if you need to. You know your hard earned $$$ to buy a house or WHATEVER! Its my $$$ and I cant access it when I need it. I've Been trying to wire $ for 4 days! Not only does it not work, they're only answer is sorry, we know its an issue but we can send you a check... and they can't even tell me when the issue will be fixed. I am cancelling my account as soon as my CD matures.

"Absolute horrible experience"

Absolute horrible experience. When I first applied to open a savings account, I was in the process of changing my name to my married name. I had my new social security card, new ID, but I didn’t know that once you link a bank account to transfer money, that bank account needed to be changed to the new name. My bank had to mail me a document to change my name and I had just mailed it back prior to trying to open the CIT account, so my bank was not done processing the change yet. CIT sent me an email saying the approval was on hold because they were concerned about identity theft and a representative would reach out to confirm identity. Four hours later I received another email just denying me.

Talked to a representative on the phone who said once my other bank had my name change processed, to reapply and it would be no big deal.

I have since reapplied 5 times over the past three weeks and am being immediately rejected each time. When I call the useless customer service line, they say it’s being denied for identity issues and there’s nothing and nobody I can talk to in order to fix this. I have a legal name change, everything is complete, ID social security bank everything. Yet they can’t help me. It’s absolutely absurd. I have never been denied a bank account/ credit card in my life. I have a significant amount of money I would depositing and a credit score of 840.

I am happy they are concerned about identity theft and that’s an important thing to be concerned about. But there absolutely needs to be a way to overcome that concern for those of us that are indeed the actual person trying to open an account.
