"Tent camping would have been preferable and alot more economical."

The coach that was rented to our family was old and worn out. The first day the refrigerator handle broke off in my wife's hand, that evening the fuse that ran the lights blew and we were left 20 miles from nowhere without anything but flashlights and the smell of a short that made us all nervous to go to sleep for fear of an electrical fire. The other issue was cleanliness or the lack there of. We found items left behind by previous renters including a shoe, swim goggles and candy wrappers. The bathroom reeked like an outhouse every time the toilet was flushed, and everything in the coach just rattled driving down the road. We cut our vacation short and returned the unit early, I cannot in good conscience recommend cruise America to anyone.

"Cancelled RV= ruined trip"

We rented the RV, made plans to have a family vacation and had to call to set up a pick up time. A day later they called us and told us there was no RV available, it was broken and they didn’t have any other alternatives, unless we wanted to drive two hours to a different town to try to pick one up and drop it off

Made no other accommodations

Extremely frustrating as we had planned to use the RV to check out national parks but no notice and trip canceled

"I rented a Cruise America RV from this…"

I rented a Cruise America RV from this location for a 3 day trip. The cost was well over $1,000 not including fuel of course. I made the mistake of NOT inspecting the interior upon pick up. The outside hadn’t been washed, but I didn’t imagine the inside would be as dirty as it was. There was cat or dog hair embedded in all the carpets and drapes; the gray and black water had not been emptied causing a disgusting backup in the pipes within hours of pickup; although it was a non smoking vehicle, the vehicle reeked of cigarette smoke; all the furniture had to be wiped down and cleaned; there was literal garage (old clothes and wrappers) underneath the pull out sofa. I called the office on the Sunday before drop off hoping to discuss and receive a partial credit for the inconvenience. They did not return the call. Find an alternative rental location!

"This was a first time camping…"

This was a first time camping experience for me and my family. I was grateful for Tammy making the pickup and drop off easy.
The RV I was given was older and had quite a few issues. The shower leaked the refrigerator did get cold but the freezer worked. And the sewer hose was broken on one end.
Tammy gave me a $50 credit for the inconvenience which I was thankful for but felt it could have been more.
Maybe at less a 1 day credit since I had it for 4 days and didn’t get use of the shower.
I would use cruise America again but I would request a new vehicle next time and check appropriate hoses

"The AC of the cabin went out on the…"

The AC of the cabin went out on the second day of my rental. It was intensely hot that day (about 86 degrees) and we had to continue without an AC for the rest of the trip. In addition, the RV was hard to drive, leading me to believe the rental was not serviced before I picked up, even though I was told it was serviced at pick up. I called customer service to notify them of the issue as soon as it happened and was told that I would receive a refund to compensate me for the mistake. However when I dropped off the vehicle, I was told the refund would be $200 by the Fall City Trading Post, the company I picked up from. However it's been 2 weeks and I have still not received the $200 refund and Cruise America customer service now says that they will not refund me but can only give me $50 as credit for a future rental. This has been horrible customer service experience and rental experience overall and I'm extremely dissatisfied. I will not be renting from Cruise America again. Beware renting from them!

"Bret was absolutely amazing!"

Bret was absolutely amazing!! Our reservation got mixed up(our fault) and he handled it with absolute professionalism and took care of us despite the mix up. we had a flat on the road and again Bret stepped up when we got back and took care of us in every way possible!! We will defiantly make sure we use Cruise America again for our next vacation!!
