"Communication is terrible"

Communication is terrible. I placed an order on a Friday afternoon, and realised Saturday morning that the delivery address was incorrect. I emailed the company Saturday morning with no response, and realised they did not work at the weekend. So Monday morning I emailed them again ....no response. I emailed them again on the Tuesday and the only communication was to tell me that they were going to be delivered to a UK address. I now have to pay more than £10 to get them transferred to me in France. One might have thought that anyone with half a brain would have realised that I didn't want a UK delivery to a UK address ... I could have walked to Tesco if I was there!!!

I don't understand some of the low ratings for British Essentials. They handled my $100+ order just fine. There was only one missing item but they refunded me for that once I reached out. Nice selection of British goodies that made me happy to receive, especially the jammie dodgers. :-) All arrived fresh and in good condition.

BEWARE DO NOT ORDER!!
I chose to ignore the other warnings on this site for British Essentials and I was so wrong. My order arrived with half of the items I ordered missing and those that were delivered were damaged.
After contacting their customer service over 10 times I got no response.
Thankfully I used PayPal for the transaction so I was able to dispute through PayPal and after weeks of waiting for a response I finally received a partial refund although nothing was refunded for the shipping costs I paid for items that weren’t delivered.
Find a different company to order from and stay away from British Essentials.
I hope this reviews help stop a bad experience from happening to someone else.
