FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! No answer from Customer Service

No communication. No reply to requests for information via emails.
I have yet to receive my order. It has been 14days so far.I have received reply today 23 January. They say they posted it on the 11 January from Germany and say they tracked it to Ireland Customs, therefore it us their fault.
I was never notified that the order was posted, nor given a tracking number

The products were good, arrived in good condition. Thank you. BUT delivery was slow and late. Product ordered Dec 5 with estimate of 8-12 days from dispatch Dec 8th. DHL and therefore your emails said product delivered Dec 24 however this was a drop at my local US post office NOT to my home address, USPS delivered on Dec 27. I appreciate there were some mitigating circumstances in UK but time in DHL German depot was very disappointing. Probably won’t order from British Essentials again.

"Damaged Goods Argumentative Staff"
As I have done in the past I placed an order for British Foodstuffs that I cannot find here in Alaska. When I received delivery of the goods almost every one of the canned goods were dented with several of them severely dented to the extent that CDC guidelines state that they should not be used and should be disposed of. Why were they damaged, simply because they were laid on the side with just thin packing paper separating them from those alongside and on top. British Essentials suggested that this was the carriers problem but it clearly was not but rather poor packaging. On raising the complaint a credit was issued by a member of Customer Care Staff for 4 of the damaged cans that I had photographed but this employee still argued that the damaged cans were ok despite CDC Guidelines. As a result of her attitude and damaged goods I will be looking for an alternative vendor for my future needs.

Great to know that these products are still available in the UK and that they can be shipped overseas. It is so difficult to get a Company that provides an end to end service. Keep up the good work 👍

The shipping tracking needs some improvement. 2 things. The first is the actual order tracking The expectation when I was adding items was that things would ship in a few days but in reality, they did not ship for at least a week. This was ok but expectations need to be set better. The second item is that DHL stops tracking once the package makes it past US customs. There was no tracking info for the last leg of the journey. I had this happen on another item I ordered from a UK store that used DHL. Most likely this is a DHL issue but you may want to ask them for better visibility
