"dirty, old fashioned, poor service"

On arrival we were greeted with the most pleasant member of staff, when we opened the door to the room it was the smallest room ever, with all sorts of rubbish around the room, even in the wardrobes and the bathroom was so dirty we couldn't even face to get a shower in there. it was quite clear that cleaning wasn't a regular service and the bedside table was held up with a cardboad box!! It was a very quiet hotel but the service of the young barman was great. Breakfast was well needed until we were served a full english which looked

like it had been there since the day before, dry as anything, dirty cutlery and a very very poor service. It was even hassle for us to get a glass of water as the waiter couldb't understand english

Best place to stay in the area and I am a regular visitor so I have checked out a few places - having now found the pack horse I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We used Toprooms.com to find a place to stay near Cambridge. It was very easy to find places that have rooms available that met our requirements, and we were absolutely delighted with the place we stayed at.

"Dissapointed...clean but badly needed updating & more staff"

Whilst the room was basically clean,the first night there was only one towel between two of us, the carpet need a good clean, they were under staffed and we formed the opinion that the owners had only recently taken over. Our meals were acceptable but the evening meal was very late. We were not treated rudely and the staff were doing their best but, on booking out an error was made in the price and wee told to leave our key in the door....no overly politeness on leaving. No i will not book again

The room had recently decorated with a new en-suite bathroom. Everything matched but it wasn't over fussy. It would make a convenient base for anyone visiting Kent/East Sussex.

It was a nice hotel, situated near the town, but just off the mian roads so it was quute also. Staff were friendly yet not intrusive and breakfast was good quality. Great rooms very comfortable...well worth it.

not good, hotel never received the men's bookings and when they turned up there were no rooms and turned away.
