"Amazing Kilimanjaro Climb"
My friends and I recently completed a successful climb and an amazing safari with ClimbKili. I have to say this was one of the best run and most remarkable groups I have ever worked with. We were a large group of 14 and they were able to accommodate everyone from diet to fitness level and provide personal attention to any and all who needed it. I think we were the envy of multiple other climbers as they passed our break sites which were set up with hot beverages and a welcoming smile from the porters and team. The food and equipment were top-notch. The team Herment and ClimbKili put together to match our group was just perfect. We searched long and hard for the right operator and we had the fortune of knowing a few folks who had trekked recently. They gave us the name and told us about their experience and after a little more research booked immediately. The guides and porters had an amazing bond and everything from the camp setup to our interactions while we climbed, well I cannot say enough good things. I would not say this is a walk in the park and you really need to be prepared but with ClimbKili I would say our success rate was much higher.
Another group ran into some trouble on the evening before our summit as they were on the mountain too long and our guides were able to probably save this woman's life and also then lead us up to a successful summit. Do not skimp, pick a group that will make sure you are prepared and then also ensure your safety and optimal experience.

"CLIMB KILI is the best!"
CLIMB KILI is the top agency in Tanzania! I have climbed on 6 continents, utilizing multiple guide agencies, and have extensive experience climbing numerous summits in the Rocky mountains and Cascade volcanoes. Our team provided by Climb Kili was exceptional and by far the best I have ever utilized. The lead guide Herment, and his associate Florian were both friendly, approachable, and highly knowledgeable, with excellent english as well. Herment's knowledge of both the scientific and common names of the local flora and animals was highly impressive, especially as I have an advanced degree in biology, which made for great intellectual conversions during our hike up the mountain. Herment also carries the medical knowledge to prevent and combat potential altitude sickness, and his 170+ successful ascents back this up. I casually mentioned to Herment that we planned to summit Kilimanjaro on Dec 25 with our son, on his 18th birthday. Unknown to us, the day of the summit back at Kosovo 16000 ft basecamp, Herment presented our son with a large birthday cake with his name on it, and the entire team of about 13 sang and danced happy birthday for him (while maintaining social distancing). We then cut the cake and shared with everyone on the team, all of whom were exceptional. Turns out, Herment had the cake hiked up 2 days after I mentioned the 18th birthday summit to him, and had the party planned for us upon our descent. Climb Kili created the memory of a lifetime for us and our son, all of which was above and beyond expectations. The entire crew including our waiter Omari, "Chef", our team and our guides, were professional, kind, and exceptional fitness. Do not utilize any other agency, Climb Kili is simply the best! Lastly, Climb Kili uses a higher final base camp at 16,000 feet (Kosovo), that places you 90 minutes closer to the summit on the final climb, major advantage compared to other agencies.

"Turning 69 on the Summit of Kilimanjaro"
ClimbKili and my guide Veda Matho and his team: 1,000 stars out of 5…
Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro had been a dream of mine ever since I had seen it from the Kenya plains in the North in 1976. Finally I decided to celebrate my 69th birthday -and start my 70th year- on its Summit. With less than two months to go, I browsed the Internet and found Climbkili. I sent an email and got an immediate response, telling me that indeed they could help me achieve my dream. After a couple of back-and-forth emails I booked my trip with them. I chose the Machame Route. I can say without a doubt that climbing Kibo thanks to ClimbKili exceeded my wildest expectations…
The organization was just perfect. I had to rent a couple of pieces of equipment, they had everything ready for me, and in fact more as the day before we started the climb the guide, Veda Matho, made a few suggestions which I am thankful for and have no regrets having followed.
Everything went perfectly, including the weather! The Team assembled by ClimbKili was amazing. Because of COVID-19, I was the only tourist climbing Kibo, and it allowed me to connect with them. What a great group of people… They were so nice with me… What a lesson in humanity… I do not exaggerate.
Case in point: On the fifth day, the day before summiting, my guide decided to establish camp about 600 feet higher than the usual Barafu Camp. As a result, when we started the final climb at midnight (as I was turning 69, under a gorgeous starry sky), we had quite a lead over the few dozed other climbers who summited that same day, and we were the first to reach the Summit… We had the Top of Africa for ourselves alone for the whole time we spent there. In fact, we met the first climbers on our way down, close to Stella Point. This was truly a deep Spiritual Experience… What a birthday… After this, I am not -I simply cannot be- the same anymore…
More: when we reached Mweka Hut on the way back (after 13 hours of hiking, worth every minute of it), as I was finishing my dinner with Veda, I saw the other 6 members of the team entering the tent with a Birthday cake and a candle..! The cook had managed to prepare it on the small gas stove that was carried all the way on the mountain, at 16,000 feet… Best Birthday cake ever!
Nothing in what I wrote is exaggerated… I feel so lucky…
Of course I recommend ClimbKili…

"Climbing Kilimanjaro with the Climb Kili"
Climbing Kilimanjaro with the Climb Kili team was special by all means. The highly professional and friendly crew made everything for our solo-hikers group to feel great and accomplish the best of this adventure (adaptive management to time and weather conditions, great camp positions, delicious food, insightful information about the park, and the Kilimanjaro area, etc.). I'm very grateful for this extraordinary experience and thankful for having had great logistics and support.

"Fantastic 8 Day Lemosho climb with Climb Kili and guide Amani and team"
ClimbKili offers a superb quality experience at great value for money.
We had a successful summit in August 2021, lead by Amani and his team from Climb Kili.
Climb Kili were extremely flexible when booking our trip, the service we received was always top notch.
On the mountain the crew went above and beyond, the food was great, they looked after us every step of the way.
I researched tour companies extensively before booking with them and am so glad I chose Climb Kili.

"Top of Kilimanjaro"
Me (61) my brother (63), and my nephew (23) hiked the Lemosho route to the top of Kilimanjaro in September of 2021. The staff at Climb Kili exceeded all of our expectations. They anticipated and addressed all of our questions prior to the trek, during the trek and afterwards. Their staff in Tanzania and in the states were extremely knowledgeable and professional every step of the way. We could not have asked for anything more! Thank you Climb Kili.

"Kilimanjaro with Climb Kili"
My wife and I climbed Kilimanjaro with Climb Kili in late June 2021. We took the 8-day Lemosho route. It was an incredible experience to climb through the different ecological zones each day, from rainforest to arctic glaciers. There were very few people on the mountain. For the first three days, we essentially had the route to ourselves. The mountain was high and beautiful and challenging, everything we hoped it would be. We were surprised, however, that getting to know the mountain team would be the best part of the climb. Our guide, Herment Mosha was absolutely incredible. I’ve done several guided climbs in the United States, and Herment was the best guide I’ve ever had. He very carefully and frequently checked in with each climber, and made adjustments as necessary. His advice was spot on when it came to dealing with altitude sickness. He kept everyone positive and energized. When times got really tough, he carried weight from multiple climbers’ packs to make things easier for them. On the actual summit, one of our climbers started to show signs of mild hypothermia, and Herment literally gave her the coat off his own back.
The rest of the team was similarly amazing. Goodlove, our second guide, also helped carry climbers packs through the toughest sections. Justin’s cooking surprised us every single day. I have no idea how he cooks like that so high up. The food was so fresh and delicious, which is crucial with a depressed appetite and increased caloric requirements at altitude. All of the porters were friendly, professional, and inspiring to watch as they climbed the mountain. They seriously seem superhuman. We had a blast talking and getting to know the whole crew.
Aside from the people, it was clear Climb Kili was a completely professional outfit. Each process was streamlined and easy to navigate. Tiffany was fantastic providing information before the climb. This was especially important in the time of COVID. Transportation and hotel accommodations were great. On the mountain, when compared with other outfits, it was clear Climb Kili came with a lot of benefits. They set up a private toilet tent at each camp and lunch break. Which, let me tell you, was such a luxury after venturing one single time into the outhouses everyone else uses on the mountain. With Climb Kili, they also have access to a higher high camp than most others. This makes your summit night about 1,000 vertical feet shorter and allows you to do a tricky section in the daylight instead of at night. Herment described Kilimanjaro as "too high to explain," and that's completely true. The value of a shorter summit climb cannot be understated.
Overall, the climb was a life-changing experience. My wife teared up reaching Stella Point at sunrise, and again at the summit. We can't thank Climb Kili, and Herment, enough for such a fantastic adventure.

"Life Changing Experience with Climb Kili"
When I decided I wanted to travel to Africa and climb Kilimanjaro I was recommended the guiding company Climb Kili by a fellow traveler. It made my decision pretty easy after she shared how amazing her experience was.
Tiffany was outstanding from start to finish in communicating all the details of my trip via email. My trip was originally planned for May 2020, but due to the pandemic and travel restrictions, I had to post-pone. After MANY airline flight cancellations and changes along the way, my trip of a lifetime finally happened in January 2021.
My lead guide, Amani, was professional and kind. He and the team of 7 porters made sure I was comfortable and happy. They truly went above and beyond to ensure I had the best possible experience. I was left speechless most of the time with how hard they work on the mountain to make sure all I had to do was focus on putting one foot in front of the other. The amount of gratitude I have for them is immeasurable.
After my 7 day journey, I ventured out with my next guide Steven on safari for 3 days (with Climb Kili). Being able to explore the Serengeti is something I still cannot believe I have done! My second day was spent in the Ngorongoro Crater and my last day in Tarangire National Park. I highly, HIGHLY recommend adding a safari on after your climb!!
Climb Kili exceeded my expectations in a guiding company and WHEN I return to Africa, I will be sure to use them again!!

"Trip of a lifetime - safari and Kilimanjaro with Climb Kili"
We chose Climb Kili based on a referral from a friend. We could not have asked for a better group of guides and porters. Goodluck and James (007) were our guides and we could not have been happier with them both. Both made sure we had sufficient breaks during our climb and let us know what to expect the next day. Two of us were a little worried when we learned our group of four would be split into two groups for our summit climb. We had followed James for four and half days and were now going to reach the summit led by Goodluck. Our worries were completely left behind as soon as we began our ascent. Goodluck set our tempo (pole pole) and wanted us to reach the summit as much as we did. A short way in, he was quick to see that I was overheating and promptly had me remove my parka - what a difference! A couple of times we had slower groups in front of us and he led us on routes around them. His knowledge of the trail with only headlamps was amazing. When we caught up to the other two in our group he made sure we all made it to Stella Point before heading for the summit. Three of the four of us made it to Uhuru Peak with huge smiles on our frozen faces. I would highly recommend Climb Kili. We did the 7 day Machame route. All of our porters were amazing, but the top of my list were Chef (stomach engineer), Nuru, Junior, Sunday, and Bongo (toilet engineer)

"Great company!"
Climb Kili is the way to go! I climbed with Climb Kili and it was an amazing experience. Tiffany answered my endless questions before heading to Tanzania and the local staff took great care of us while on the mountain. I felt very safe and in good hands from start to finish. I also did a 3 day safari with Climb Kili following the climb and our driver was very knowledgeable and took us to all the perfect places to see the Big 5!
