"Zero customer service"
I placed an order 09Dec22.I received part of the order 15Dec22. The packing slip said it was complete. I was missing 6 items, and customer service is horrible. Spoke to virtual chat, said my order was complete, then said it was shipped in 2 parts. I should have received the second one yesterday, No order, FedEx says it is delayed.
Do not try to call the phone number, 35 calls, no one answers.

"Two very unfortunate experiences"
I have had some unfortunate experiences with this online store. I was excited to receive the nduja which is a spicy, spreadable type sausage/salami. I should not need to be cooked but can add a great flavor to sauces, etc. In teeny, tiny print on the package, after a night of bad food poisoning, their nduja has on the package must be cooked to 160. Great. Glad I only ate a little on my homemade Italian bread. I complained and got a refund. Before complaining I received a complimentary large bottle of Brioschi Sodium bicarbonate. Right.
Second, I ordered two 3-lb packages of DOP gorgonzola at close to $160. I get an email the next day stating there is only one left, and they refunded that one. But the communication back, and forth, was not clear if they were going to send the other one and when. It was frustrating. I finally received the one 3-lb gorgonzola after 2 weeks. It was delivered opened, watery, smelled horrid, and the foil around the cheese was torn. Once again, I took pictures and got a refund. I will not be ordering from them again.

"Expired Organic Food Items"
I ordered several items from them including organic lemon juice. When I finally received the order, the lemon juice had expired on 8/31/2021 — last year! When I alerted cust svc by email they didn’t respond but refunded my money. What reputable business sells expired organic merchandise? I didn’t even receive an apology. They probably thought I wouldn’t notice. I will never order from them again.

I found Supermarket Italy by accident, when searching for some hard to find import items. The service by phone was engaging.. smart.. fun.. and most of all Professional. I would definitely use them again.

"Very unprofessional and poorly managed"
I placed a large order, received some items that expired beyond the expiration date. Other items were not as described on the website. I tried calling during their posted hours they posted on the website after 9 AM, switched to another number that did not answer after multiple tries. I tried doing the live chat, their instructions say to click on the bubble at the bottom left-hand corner of the page, after many attempts I found the bubble on the right-hand side of the page. Very unprofessional and poorly managed.

I live in rural GA and shop with this place routinely - always outstanding products, service, notifications, shipping and customer service. Why even try to go out and buy Italian with Supermarket Italy. Amore, amore, amore!

"They sent me the wrong order"
They sent me the wrong order. Fine. I can understand mistakes happen. I contacted them and they said they would send out the correct order. That was over a month ago. They keep saying that it has to get sent out at the beginning of the week and that's the hold up, but that's crap. Also, they have never once apologized. This was not a mistake I made. Just one I got to pay for and not have what I ordered to show for it. These people are horrible at customer service and I wouldn't trust them with your money or your time.

Best prices for amazing ingredients. Shipping is a tiny bit slower than Amazon. But the prices, packing, and quality are far worth it.
